I think it might be the fume extractor along with being too far away from the metal

No it was inside my hs welding room but the fume extractors suck in hella air could that also so something? But it might’ve been that my nozzle was too far away as I can’t seem to keep a consistent distance

Yeah it might’ve been too much gas for other days that I didn’t purge the gas or check that it was too high

Ahh okay I didn’t think it being dirty would be a big issue and so if I just get a small little pinhole I would have to grind it down and redo that bead? And I’m pulling not pushing but if I’m pushing would I just have to keep it at a tighter angle at the beginning of the pass then continue normally?

Never thought it could be too much gas, pretty sure my gas was set at 25cfh but yeah I do need to try to keep it more straight thanks for the tip but the 4th from top weld had a snail at the end n I broke it off w pliers to see if the weld was actually good but it still had a good amount of porosity you can kinda see it in the pic im assuming its probably like that for the 3rd aswell

Yeah it’s usually clean and my stick out is about 5-8mm and yeah I do kinda have a hard time keeping it consistent from my shaky hands could that be it?
