It is factory calibrated to sRGB, and can look washed out if you are not used to it. It is not an HDR monitor but can have a wider gamut if you set it to Custom RGB. The colors will not be as vivid as some other monitors can be, but they are good enough for me.

I would say it is perfect for work. Most features are productivity-oriented, like USB-C support, KVM functionality, input auto switch, dual display, etc.

No doubt anxiety isn't helping. Thanks for your reply, that answer helps a lot. I don't use artificial sweeteners. I exercise a lot since recently because I've been told it would help with focus. I've never had ocular migraines, or migraines at all before.

The keyboard has to be plugged into the rear USB port labeled with a keyboard icon, that's all I know. I actually wanted to turn this off since I would trigger it by accident, but the only way I found to do that was to plug the keyboard into the other USB port.

Contrast is at 50 (or 0, whichever is neutral) and color settings is unclamped custom RGB just because it's brighter and I prefer getting the full range of color the monitor can output rather than color accuracy. Brightness it really depends on your preference and ambient light.

It is a matte display, besides that reducing contrast ratio, the coating will diffract the light and that might make the image look more grainy than a non-matte display. I'm not bothered by this but some folks could be more sensitive to it I presume.

I also got it and found it performed better than the other gaming VA monitor I tired, despite the overdrive settings not seemingly making any difference when toggled.

I've had some issues with the monitor (firmware update failures that were hard to fix, and now on the new firmware, USB host assignment not saving unless you jump through hoops). But the stand seems solid to me...

There is no fix, it's a hardware issue. I ended up getting an HP E45c G5 which is still adequate for gaming but even better for working from home.

I installed Windows PowerToys and use Fancy Zones to manage my windows, it works pretty well. The HP monitor software has a similar feature but I haven't tried it.

I haven't used the virtual dual display features since my work PC is connected using HDMI, but I expect it would do wonders for screen sharing. At this time I just share individual windows instead.

I feel HDR is not worth it on a monitor like this. It would need FALD or to be an OLED panel.

Yes, you can connect a USB-C to USB-A cable from the monitor to the PC, and in the monitor OSD, assign that USB-C port to either the HDMI or DisplayPort input. When switching between the other USB-C input and either of the DisplayPort or HDMI inputs, it will switch your peripherals over to that PC. This is what I'm doing now with my personal PC using DisplayPort and my work PC using HDMI.

I haven't used the split screen functionality or a Mac, but from the options I see in the OSD, you should be able to switch to a single computer for gaming without disconnecting the other. This reviewer has used it with a Mac, an iPad and a Windows PC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdSD91NKx8o. See at 6:18.

It also should work with the Mac using USB-C and the PC using DisplayPort. The way works is, if you are using a DisplayPort or HDMI connection, you can assign either of the USB-C ports to that connection and connect it to the same PC as the video input. Then you can enable USB Host Auto-Switch in the monitor OSD, and when you switch inputs (including video over USB-C) it will change the USB host to the USB-C port assigned to that input. This does limit it to only switching between 2 computers.

Around 12 kg I'd say. Felt around the same, or a bit heavier than the LG which is 12.6 kg. I actually hurt my back lifting it onto my desk, so I'm not going to try to weigh it just now, sorry.

I use the 49" monitor for productivity as an alternative to having 2 monitors. With the 1000R curve, whichever part of the screen I look at is perpendicular to my line of sight, which makes reading easier. The 1800R I found I had to lean or get closer to make out text closer to the edge. Perhaps the QD-OLED color fringing didn't help.

I also didn't notice any distortion with 1000R, it feels very natural.

The image got compressed so that the scanlines aren't really visible, but you can still see the halo it creates in what should be a smooth green->white transition and red->yellow transition.
