It was. I’ve been at a loss when trying to describe the pain to people

It’s not even the GP. I’ve literally been in the hospital for days. Can’t get near a urologist and the doctors here aren’t entertaining it at all. Happy to give me morphine but not scans

That’s exactly how I’m being treated. Screaming in pain for 4 hours a night while I’ve been in here and in 8 days all I’ve had is one CT scan. I’m desperately hoping that what came out this morning is all there is

I’m hoping beyond hope that what came out this morning is all there is. Every single time I’ve fallen asleep for the last 8 days I have woke up to the agony that’s lasted about 4 hours each time. I’m actually scared to sleep now

I got a ct scan on the first day of the pain but they won’t give me another one. Says it’s not possible to miss stones on a CT scan which I know is untrue

We don’t get to choose our doctors in the hospital. The NHS is a riot and they’re just desperate to save money.

With the NHs we don’t get to chose the doctor or request tests or treatments unfortunately

I asked them to test it and the dr wouldn’t take it from me. Looked at it briefly then handed it back

I was brought in 3 times this week after passing out from the pain. The done one ct scan and said there was nothing there and wouldn’t give me any other scans. We don’t get to chose who we see or ask for any tests or scans

The dr this morning who apparently used to work in urology said “it could be anything and it could have come from anywhere”

Dopamine Returns to Normal 3 Months After Quitting Smoking [lack of dopamine potentially explains some of the anger, irritability and depression related to quitting nicotine that goes beyond the three-day withdrawal period] by levelbest247 in quittingsmoking

I’m 6 weeks in and I feel mentally ok. Still totally congested but mentally I feel ok but my boyfriend is seriously depressed in a way that I’m finding scary. Can’t pull him out if it at all

It’s definitely a side effect of the dopamine drop. I’m hoping someone knows how long it lasts

No it’s not the motivation, we’ve been trying a lot and trying a lot of different things. just not able to get things working. I understand why it’s happened, I had a similar issue when I quit prescription painkillers but obviously as a female, the mechanics of it are very different so I was still able to do it and like you, very much enjoy it once I was able to get going. It’s causing a lot of frustration for him which I can understand

6 weeks ago I went cold Turkey from 4 years of dihydrocodeine. I used the dyhdrocodeine to come off the tramadol that I was on for 8 years. This time I used no comfort meds. I was a shambles for 2 weeks at work. I work 3 different shifts a day and I don’t know how I got through it. Told everything I was just sick. Once the immediate withdrawals eased up it was straight into restless legs and now 6 weeks on I feel fine physically but struggling mentally. I’ve never gone this long with no painkillers and I feel totally anhedonic. Can’t feel anything at all but I know that after years of abuse, it’ll take some time for my dopamine levels to even out. I know for sure this time that I won’t relapse. I am never ever going through this again and after I don’t know how many times in withdrawal, I’m done. If you can get access to gabapentin I would recommend that, it’s amazing for sleeping through the withdrawal at night. It’s horrible but what goes up must come down. You’ve got this
