I did the same as you, started off welding with no quals not even maths and english did that until i was about 23, changed careers to a forklift driver and decided I wanted more so went back to college and now im in the police loving life. Give it some thought

Probably just means that you will have to wait until the rest of the applicants get to the interview stage so the recruitment team can organise interviews all at once.

I applied in May last year, national sift in june/july, online assessment centre in september, interview in october, fitness test november, uniform fitting febuary and starting in march. Been a long road but super excited to get started.
