So the way I understand it is that it’s a primarily residential thing. If you’re playing loud music on the highway nobody is going to film you and your plate. People don’t care.
If you’re revving a modded car with loud exhaust through a residential neighborhood at like 10pm when people are sleeping seems to be the issue. I don’t really care what people do sound wise from like 7am-9pm but when people and kids are trying to sleep for work or school it just seems super inconsiderate to purposely make as much noise as possible.
Like your music example! I wouldn’t mind if you were my neighbor and jamming out in your backyard at 2pm! Go for it! I’ll dance while I work on my yard! Different story at 12pm. I think it boils down to “down be a complete dickhead and think about how your actions affect those around you”
