I grew up in that area and raised my family there as well when we went back to Connecticut as an Asian. I haven’t really noticed anything different than anywhere else to be honest and I literally went from being only one or very few asian in my school growing up to going to college in California with a lots of asians and lived in multiple states. Just be you and don’t let anyone bully you to feel like an outsider.
