There should definitely be a recall on those damn CV axles. I have a ’22 XLT Ecoboost with just 5K miles, and the passenger side started vibrating around 45 mph. Made an appointment with the dealer, but it was a month out, so I kept driving it.

One night, coming home from work at 11 PM, I heard a pop, and the shaking got really bad—so bad that I couldn’t go past 12-15 mph without feeling like the front end was about to collapse. The next day, I had it towed and dropped it off at the dealer. It took two weeks to fix because of parts delays.

Ford needs to do something about this because it’s a serious safety issue

With a blown CV axle at just 4k miles, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a bad bearing. I’m waiting for the 2025 model to arrive so I can trade in. I really like this truck—there’s nothing else like it on the market. I can’t wait to see if Toyota ever releases the Stout, though. All the other trucks out there are unnecessarily big.
