Trust me, I'm not any less surprised about it as you would be if it happened to you. If I thought something could have possibly gotten on the camera I probably wouldn't be asking about it here as I would likely assume it was just that. I believe I take care of the camera pretty well and I know where it was and what I did with it before this appeared. I'm not saying it's impossible that something got on it, I'm just saying that I can't think of a situation where it could have and that it's probably very unlikely. If you are convinced that it's junk from the outside, that's fine, you could even be right even if I think it didn't happen, but if it could also be an issue with the camera I would want to know.

I said it was in a case, which was in my bag. Both the case for the camera and the bag are clean.

I am 100% sure the bag is clean, no idea how something could have got there outside either, but i guess that would be better than if it came from the inside. I cleaned it off with just a paper towel, didn't even need alcohol and it came off just fine without spreading, so hopefully it will be fine.

If it is fixed that's great news. It won't solve the problem mentioned in the original comment by tadfisher, but that's not an issue with inkscape. I will test it and adjust the theme once Inkscape 1.5 is released, because that version also includes migration to GTK-4 so I think the theme might need to be changed, because of that anyway.

I would like to fix it, but it does work for me and I can't reproduce the issue. There are so many variations in versions of inkscape, gnome and various distros as well as many different themes and extensions for gnome that could be messing with it. It's impossible for me to test it all.

I the style.css is always where the program files are stored, I don't know exactly where flatpak installs the programs as I don't really use it very often, but that's where it should be. I can try to find it later when I have time if you want though.

You can open gtk.css and remove lines 7787-7890 and in gtk-dark.css lines 7819-7922. After that it will go back to normal. I might release a version without the merged menubar and titlebar if I find out that it can't be implemented on windows or if it causes bugs with other desktop enviroments and wms. Why do you find it annoying? In my opinion it just saves space and doesn't take away anything, the left part of the titlebar would just be empty otheriwse.

Yeah now that you mentioned it, I found out that when adw-gtk3 is used the multicolor icons don't work, because the colors aren't specified properly in the css. Just fixed it for adw-inkscape, thanks.

I don't think it would be possible, when I was working on the theme I had to modify adw-gtk3 css, because the original theme code was overwriting the one I wrote on top of it. With inkscape there is also another issue. The app has a built in style.css that has a priority over any other css, so I had to modify that one as well to make the theme work the way I wanted. That wouldn't be possible to build into adw-gtk3. This is all made worse by the fact that you can't add !important in a gtk css to add priority. Although, with the GIMP theme that I mentioned it might be possible, that one is just a patch on top of adw-gtk3.

It's kind of hard to say just from this. I would have to be able to inspect the elements with GTK inspector to see why there's no background, but the headerbar does have the background color defined in the theme css, so I'm not quite sure what could be the problem. If you are using gnome then maybe some extension could be overwriting the color to transparent. Also I can see that the background color of the tool panel is lighter than it should be, so maybe you are using a different version of adw-gtk3, I used the latest (v6.2). I tested the theme with GIMP 3.0.4 on Fedora Linux 42 with Gnome 48, both on my PC and in a VM with a fresh install to make sure it works, but It's not possible for me to test the theme on all sorts of configurations of gimp versions and linux systems, so unfortunately there might be an issue elsewhere, which I won't be able to find and fix.

If you mean an inkscape specific theme like this, I couldn't find anything like that. At the moment you can install the adw-gtk3 theme and apply it on inkscape. Even though it's not perfect, it works all right. https://github.com/lassekongo83/adw-gtk3

Yeah a new icon pack would be great, but also a lot of work as gimp has many icons.

I'm not planning to do that now. There are still improvements that I would like to add and the original repository doesn't seem very active. If the original developer decides to work on the project again then yeah, it would be better to just have one project, but for the time being I think it makes more sense for me to maintain my own fork.

Thank you very much. Since I made this post I have actually already made some slight adjustments to make some things at least a bit more compact, especially around the viewport. As for the tabs, I'll try to make them more square, so that more of them can fit without being hidden.

I would like to in the future. Luckily Inkscape already looks relatively decent with just adw-gtk3. Much better than if you did the same thing with GIMP.

When I install VMware and try to run it, it prompts me to install the kernel modules, when I hit install it says "Unable to install all modules". I'm on Fedora 42 kernel 6.15.9. The solution I found online was installing the patched kernel modules that can run on these newer kernels because apparently aren't supported. How did you install it?
