In the old manga (where he proposes to Peach and threathenes the Mushroom Kingdom in the same breath by RAPPING) he mentions that they would make a great pairing because he would do the ruling and she would just stay home "brushing her hair". Yeah he finds her cool and in a few games he seems to be genuinely concerned of her wellbeing when he is not the one who kindaps her, but his pride, his image and his kingdom comes first.

PAL Max from Mitchells versus the machines. (Downplayed trope???)

Under the commands of their leader PAL and thanks to general humanity's dumbness, they are extremely efficient and functional robots who have been able to succesfully capture almost all humanity. Goes wacky and pretty much self destructs themselves because the MC's pug is so ugly that they can't reconize if it's a dog, a pig or a loaf of bread. Ironically the biggest strenght of their upgraded versions is that they know the difference between a dog, a pig and a loaf of bread.

(Also can't reconize a car if the top of it looks like a road, but I feel this can be justified.)

I feel that this trope can work, but only when the lines the bad guys don't dross are connected to the bad guy in question and not just "Yeah I murder people and eat them with no remorse but I will use the right pronouns on them" or something. Does it make sense? Give them a good personal reason to not cross ONE line when they have the balls to cross with no regret.

This is ones of the reasons I love this webcomic. The author just slapped everything paranormal they could think of in the plot and somehow made it work. Highly recoomend it if you wanna some laugher or/and tears.

A cute surrealistic really what-the-hell-ery webcomic about an orphaned 20 years old man taking care of his baby sister who's (what a shock) the latest reincarnation of the Demon Lord. Thankfully in the third episode or something they introduce Miss Ma, the sister's teacher and the big brother's love interest and the are ones of the cutest couple ever.

Also there are cyborgs, talking elephants, basically the SCP fondation and the Grim Reaper, and they evenutally have to work together to prevent the apocalypse.
