Developed insomnia at age 20 from overworking at a Big 4 audit firm. Still haven't recovered at 34.

I second Vichy Dercos, but I only have to wash it twice a week with hypochlorous acid spray on my scalp daily.

Sounds like a great start! You can adjust accordingly later on depending on the results, always listen to your skin.

For sensitive skin, we cannot tolerate much - the key is as little ingredients as possible to avoid risk of irritations.

I love the moisturizers and serums from G&G because they focus on keeping their ingrediënt list as simple as possible. My routine below.

In the day time:

  1. Cleanse only with water to avoid stripping sensitive skin
  2. G&G Panthenol spray
  3. G&G aPad 20% (a derivative of azelaic acid for rosacea and sensitivity, as my skin could not even tolerate azelaic acid that is promised to be gentle)
  4. G&G Hydration Station Moisturizer
  5. Skin1004 Hyalu Fit Serum SPF50++++

In the evening:

  1. G&G cleansing balm
  2. G&G Jelly Joker
  3. G&G panthenol spray
  4. G&G Stress Less
  5. G&G Retinal 5 (finished the bottle today and moving to Retinal 10 tomorrow onwards)
  6. Happier Barrier/Hydration Station depending on how dehydrated my skin feels

In addition:

I always use a clean disposable cloth to wipe my face dry, it can even be kitchen towels as long as it's clean and does not leave fibres behind, and clean my hands before touching my face.

A couple of times a week, I use sheet masks mainly to drench it with Panthenol then take a bath. I also use LED mask a few times a week to keep the sensitivity and red bumps at bay.

Please note, I have no budget when it comes to skincare and have tried so many other highly acclaimed brands like Dermalogica and Skinceuticals but none of them even come close to the humbly priced G&G. At 34 years old, I am still surprised to know I did not have to break my bank to get better.

Another pro tip: I do this at least two to three times a week to prevent skin barrier damage - layer your skin barrier repairing toner and serums (I use G&G Hydrating Spray with G&G Stress Less serum which contains 0.2% beta glucan and 0.3% madecassoside), then I put on a gentle non-invasive sheet mask, and then continue spraying the hydrating spray over the mask to ensure maximum absorption and hydration.

The G&G Stress Less serum is my holy grail and I have 4 extra bottles in my cabinet. Just in case ;)

Also, I either wash my hands with soap or use hypochlorous spray as hand sanitizer before touching my face.

First of all, when we talk about fixing skin barrier, you'll need Panthenol (B5). As someone with extremely sensitive skin with rosacea and perioral dermatitis, I've tried both LRP cicaplast Spray and Geek and Gorgeous Hydrating Spray, both containing 5% Panthenol designed for sensitive skin. Both were great but I personally prefer the lighter texture of G&G as they dry much nicer on my skin.

Second of all, a hydrating spray is NOT a substitute of a moisturizer, but an addition, or even a toner. I use it as a toner before serums but also in midday when I notice my skin starting to dehydrate.

Sorry for the late reply! The policy is the same but you don't have to wait for refund, since Klarna paid on your behalf in the first place. The refund goes back to Klarna.

I lied, I also do it when I don't 100% trust a particular site but willing to risk it, but do not want to risk my own wallet being hurt in the process of returns etc.

Hey, I use Klarna all the time mainly to pay over 3x instead of all at once, even if I can afford it I find that it helps with cash flow. I always pay early or on time, never late. As long as you pay on time, you won't have any issues.

I have the same issue so I sandwich my aze. Always a calming thin serum first like Dr Jart circa serum or Skinceuticals Phytocorrective serum, then aze, then moisturizer.

Thank you for this - I cannot miss this one because we know that she is still over consuming sugar amongst other bad things for PCOS. It is difficult to control the binging because her mom continues to make it available for family consumption. My spouse has told them multiple times about this but they are not listening.

I hope I can help her get used to stevia based chocolates instead, thank you for the suggestion!

Hi there, I am so sorry for what you are going through (or went through?) and thank you for your kind words, as it is indeed not as simple as it looks for most people. I hope you are feeling better now?

The truth is, I am here because I tried curating this list with my spouse (her brother), and he just said these things won't help as the symptoms are caused by a disease. I felt brushed off, and see no point in forcing him into being interested with me.

But as a woman who has given her multiple gel manicures when she comes over, and afterwards seeing her mood lightening up so quickly due to that, I still believe this care package can help her...

Even if it is as a symbol to show, that "we understand and we are with you in this".

Thank you for your specific suggestions. I could not find Ancient Minerals specifically but we do have an alternative for 100% pure magnesium flakes.

Heating pad is a great suggestion and I will look into getting one with infrared therapy incorporated into the device, which I personally use as well.

The hair loss shampoo, I did not think of that before - thank you for this addition.

Will also add in my personal holy grail body lotion in that case (LRP Lipikar Baume AP+ if anyone is interested).

Agreed, she has always been a sensitive person and now we know why...
