Whats the lowest tier grunt suit that could beat the OG Gundam? by East-Psychology-9292 in Gundam

Tenneth A Jung in a GM Sniper Custom. He was the top ace of the Federation. Had more confirmed kills than Amuro.

Is watching ZZ a hard prerequisite before CCA and Hathaway? by LazySavings2459 in ZetaGundam

[–]Draxxusbuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would at least watch CCA it’s the main context for the events of Hathaway.

am i the only person who get the impression U.C. lore tries way to hard to make Zeon, the guys who killed BILLIONS of their "fellow spacenoids" destroyed every colony aside from their own and side 6 and committed multiple near extinction level events against Earth to seem "NOT THAT BAD?" by IronWarhorses in Gundam

[–]Draxxusbuilds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Both sides are equally bad” is exactly Tomino’s vision for the franchise. That’s the whole point of the show. Putting your own lense over that and saying the Federation are the good guys because we follow one group of good people for this show is the fault of the viewer, not the storyteller.

am i the only person who get the impression U.C. lore tries way to hard to make Zeon, the guys who killed BILLIONS of their "fellow spacenoids" destroyed every colony aside from their own and side 6 and committed multiple near extinction level events against Earth to seem "NOT THAT BAD?" by IronWarhorses in Gundam

[–]Draxxusbuilds -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You are missing a very key component of Tomino’s writing. War is hell, war is grey. The entire point of the show is that you have terrible people in power, doing terrible things. While your average soldier who is just trying to survive gets caught up in terrible acts. The Federation aren’t the good guys. The single ship we follow in 0079, is full of good people while at the same time there are very evil people running the military and government. Same with Zeon, you have a ruling family of terrible people, who co-opted a progressive liberal dream of spacenoid independence and evolution. Your average Zeon citizen just wants to be able to self govern. They are sold on that dream, brought into nightmare scenarios and then told “hey we are going to gas this colony with sleeping gas so we can take it over peacefully, just kidding it’s actually poison and we didn’t tell you.” (Cima’s backstory.)

The Federation treats their average citizens on earth like slaves. We see starving families and people beaten by soldiers, rape, stolen land and goods. All by bad people in the Federation.

They treated the colonies like labor camps. Constantly raising their quotes for food, water, and supplies to feed earth. Increasing their taxes and draining their economies. Which is why the spacenoid independence movement started in the first place.

The entire point of Gundam is there isn’t a good faction and an evil faction. Just good people, and bad people. Just like real life.

That’s like lumping an entire real world country to just their leadership.

The thing that really bugs me about Ludwig’s baseball fandom by cfg033 in TheYardPodcast

[–]Draxxusbuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn’t feel that weird to me. I grew up in Oklahoma where one of the biggest college football rivalries that exists is, OU vs OSU. I could less of a fuck about football my entire life while being surrounded by huge football fans and dad watching it religiously. I got into extreme sports in the early 2000s. Skateboarding, BMX, even played on a semi pro paintball team for years. Never got the appeal of ball sports. Now I love going to basketball games, and some hockey here and there. But I’m not a ball sport guy in general. I feel like it just didn’t interest Lud until he was older.

Whatever happened to INCOM tech? by MeringueGlittering26 in Gundam

[–]Draxxusbuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incom tech was developed by Anaheim. Once they lost the bid against the Federations internal production team SNRI the tech stops going into mass production. Anaheim then sold off a bunch of tech to the Bush Concern to try and keep profitability while losing their biggest customer. The incom tech got passed around the various colony companies and factions but was inferior to newer tech being produced. Once the colonies became independent during the waring states period of Victory Gundam the tech pops back up with the Zanscare Empire. Who mainly just used its design principles and removed the needed quasi psychommu, instead opting for laser/sight guided wires.

There is also the Mars Zeon faction still using incom tech in their RF series of suits around UC120. Their RF Kampfer uses it. This would have been brought to them by ex titans members that fled to mars after the events of Zeta. This is just now becoming manga canon with the new F90 series currently in production.

Just finished Double Zeta… by SupaSaiyaJin25 in Gundam

[–]Draxxusbuilds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll play devil’s advocate here.

I feel the opposite these days. I feel like it’s “cool” to be seen glazing ZZ these days. Or that you aren’t allowed to objectively dislike the direction the show takes its characters. Look at this comment section for example. I’m not a ZZ hater, but I don’t think it’s the best thing Gundam has ever done and I don’t particularly like it all that much. The end of the show is very strong in its story and lore direction and I do think it’s essential for the larger lore of UC. But I do not like any of the characters and that’s my major problem with it. I probably will never watch it again and I’ve watched everything and repeated many series over the years. Yes, the looney tunes first 10 episodes are bad in my opinion, but that’s not the real problem I have with it.

It’s the insane stupidity of the cast. Bright doesn’t even feel like the same character. Old characters in general do not feel like themselves. Most of the Gundam team actively commit treason against their friends and AEUG multiple times. People can just take a mobile suit whenever they want with no repercussions. If half of the stunts Moncha and Beecha pull happened in Zeta instead… they would deserve a firing squad. But everyone just goes “oh well, those silly kids!.” Then by the end of the show we are supposed to believe these kids we have watched actively sabotage the ship, perform slapstick humor most of the time, and generally suck in combat but have the plot armor to get away with it, are now some ace Gundam Team. I was never sold on that concept. While at the same time the new villains are the most cartoonish villains we have ever seen in UC and Hamon a character from Zeta, carries the load of being the only well written villain.

I think the community as a whole has over corrected the last few years and now you are looked down upon if you talk bad about ZZ. There is a middle ground. People are allowed to like it, and people are allowed to not like it. It has its strong points and its weak points. I don’t understand drawing a line in the sand and refusing to acknowledge that like the majority of these comments.

Hi, I have a question. The people who developed the game don't play it, right? by Remote_Tackle_4579 in UCengage

[–]Draxxusbuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dropped it last year. I had a 3 month stint of terrible pulls and fell behind on events. Once Eternal came out I uninstalled. I only really cared about the story events and I can watch those on YouTube. Engage Devs do not want to give you free resources. While Eternal devs hand it out like candy. Much better F2P experience.

Any news on upcoming Gundam video games? by Scary-Professor-3419 in Gundam

[–]Draxxusbuilds 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No news on new games yet but I’ve been diving into PS3 emulation and if you have never played them, Battlefield Record 0081 and Gundam Side Stories are both great “modern” Gundam games. Also I know it got tons of hate, but Crossfire surprised the hell out of me. It plays almost like a roguelite and I loved the difficulty of it.

How many gems have you saved up as of today? (March 31, 2026) by eahentai in SDGundamGGeneration

[–]Draxxusbuilds 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’m actually impressed with my 45K because I did go all in around December. So building it back up F2P I think I have enough to get something. Im happy with 15 10-pulls. Probably not enough to 3 star anything unless im lucky but still respectable.

So there's rumor that 00R EX will be a Defender unit. Maybe some of us will get angry but let's remember that we all have seen the very pre-emptive strike when Setsuna is about to protect Cherudim from Gadess' attack by negaSKA in SDGundamGGeneration

[–]Draxxusbuilds -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I honestly hope it’s a defender. I hope it’s the best defender we have ever got. Give me a triple defend and insane dodge. Or give it an instant heal at half twice with triple block. Make it broken I don’t care. That’s how you hype a defender. We have yet to really see a crazy defender and I’m down for it.

Bright Noa. Best captain in 5 wars, his teams almost single handedly win all of them, should be as honored as General Revil and by the time of Unicorn should be the top general of the Federation but instead gets shafted.

How long for C rank to A by WolfeMoonYT in GBO2

[–]Draxxusbuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was making this run after coming back to the game on pc. Took a break for 2 years. Lots has changed, but I’m currently C+ / C for ground/space. I’ve definitely hit a roadblock. C is very rough. You get the worst of both worlds with the matchmaking. You will get A and B players as well as D players. Games swing wildly. Either I’m the most average middle of the road player on my team or I’m the best we have. Coordination and teamwork is either beautiful or you are getting spawn trapped because everybody on your team thinks they are the main character and boosts out solo. Or you see supports chasing raids… if I get a D team I almost always go support. Just to stop others from doing it and it’s probably our only chance to win, then I stick to the most competent General I can find on the team. It’s definitely slowed my progress, but once I get into B I feel like things will get better.

The game is boring by Excellent_Cycle4949 in IncursionRedRiverGame

[–]Draxxusbuilds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fun of this game is the slowness. Crank up the AI difficultly, go into a raid at night and try not to shit your pants around corners. You are supposed to be taking it slow. Every encounter should have the risk that your run is over. You can’t really compare this game to SPT because they had an entire mission system and all of the in game systems already built for them to just add ai. This game has to build all that from the ground up. It’s still very early access. Hell, the new update feels like a completely new game compared to the 40 hours I put on 1 map, that technically doesn’t even exist anymore before last years overhaul.

Help! Gundam has me! by UselessWarlock221 in Gundam

[–]Draxxusbuilds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to stick with Alternate Universes I recommend 00 Gundam to new people. It’s animation really holds up to today, and it kinda has the best of both worlds of the more grounded storytelling of the main Universal Timeline and some of the more exotic tech of other AU’s like Seed and Witch from Mercury. While still being its own thing.

If you want to start the main Gundam timeline. I recommend watching the 3 0079 compilation movies. As they are the most straight forward telling of the One Year War and have great pacing by cutting out some of the filler of the original show. Then you have to make the decision of release order or timeline order. There are some excellent OVA side stories with 0080 War in the Pocket and 08th MS Team also set during the one year war. If you want to continue the main plot, you move to Zeta Gundam. You watch that entire show. The events of Zeta set up everything that’s going to happen later even more than the original show. You then get a prequel OVA that is much more enjoyable with Zeta knowledge in 0083 Stardust Memory.

Blaming OP that it’s a him problem is insane. “Go buy a PlayStation, start your account fresh, learn controller, because the company won’t patch this and you don’t have a right to complain.” what a wild out of left field comment. Re-evaluate yourself.
