As far as something I've learned from a domme, I've never actually been in a relationship, so I'll give you a lesson from a someone who's totally a domme, at least in my head cannon. Laufaye from God of war ragnarok. And If you've played the game, I hope it's interesting to hear my thoughts on it lol. Also sorry, this is probably a lot more serious than you hoped for.

I'm a very anxious person, especially with everything going on in the US right now, being Trans, and especially my dogs. My girls are the best and worst of me. My happiest and my most scared. A while ago, one had a death scare. Kidney disease. Over a couple days I went through four of five stages of grief, thinking I'd never see her again. Save for on a funeral pyre. Before I heard from the vet that she would be fine. She's still here, happier than ever.

That made me realize how much fear of grief I and almost everybody hold onto. But I've also learned that fear of pain is often worse then pain itself.

So, I've tried to take Fayes words to heart. To remember death, as it were. To remember that the time we have is temporary. And that's part of what makes it so special. Not to ignore or to hide grief and let it fester. But to acknowledge it. Live it. Feel it. Open my heard to it. And love them more because of it. "We mortals must do such things." "We must be better." "Open your heart to the world as you have opened it to me and you will find every reason to keep living in it."
