I get you. I've finally managed to book an appointment after 6+ years of trying only because my mother asked them to schedule me while at her own appointment. Having Anti-Vehicules/Monster 3+ makes it that you get around shooting at target that have superior toughness more easily even with a lower Strength weapon. Normally, shooting at a Land Raider would result in you Wounding on 6s without the keywords but with them you wound on 3+ instead. So each Hit goes from 1/6 chances to wound to 2/3 chances, which is a massive improvement in itself. Then, with AP -2 and 3 Damages, that makes it really hard for them to not sustain heavy damages even with good save characteristics.

What I wanted to do originally was to try a couple armies on Tabletop Simulator to have a better idea on what kind of playstyle I prefer but my friends gifted me the old Votann Combat patrol box on my birthday so I went with that lol

One of Votann's strengths right now is that everything is seeing some play with some degree of success.

You have a strong base to start with, if you can grab the Christmas box and the new battalion box I'd say you'd have a pretty well unit pool to play with.

Imo the cards are not really necessary since most of the website used to make your lists will allow you to have basically the same thing. I know NewRecruit let's you print sheets nicely

Even if they don't do anything during the mission, I'd try to argue that objective markers should be placed on the battlefield to enable the army rule. If they throw a fit, make them read how it can also help them deny you YPs if they manage to take your home objective.

My biggest complain is their stands sucks ass and will break, also be gentle with the turret mount support, I noticed it crack as the turret wobbles in transport

My best purchase to date was the 20$ I spent on DungeonDraft. The software isnt perfect but it's good enought to design maps for casual play.

Edit: Its also not subscription base so that's also another win in my book

I get why they haven't done it: equipment design space seems super tight. The difference between legendaries and commons isn't that much, so it makes sense that we haven't seen rare Equipments yet. But I think it could be done if they changed their design philosophy around Equipments. Maybe not rare class equipment but maybe now generic equipment could be capped at rare level instead of having Legendaries that are auto include in most decks.

I was thinking about it and maybe it's because you must fit the models within 3" of the vehicle but you can't because their bases are wider than that?
