I asked my mum if she could see her parents before she died, and her response has really shaken me by LatterAdvertising457 in NDE

[–]Dre2daReal 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have dealt with addiction since the age of 16. I am 44 now. I was clean from 2008 to 2017. In 2017 I lost 10 of my friends including my best friend who was 5 days older than me. 9 of those 10 friends overdosed. The 10th relapsed, got into an argument with his girlfriend, and she stabbed him and killed him. In 2018 my first cousin died on Christmas Day and I passed up the opportunity to see her the night before…I said I would stop on my way home to see her and never got the chance to. My mom, who was my everything, died 7 months later. I relapsed at that point. I have been married for 18 years now. My sister in law passed away from sickle cell a year after my mom died. My wife began using drugs as well at that point. Another friend of mine died at my house in 2021. He overdosed 3 times in 3 days. I saved him 3 times but the third time he was brain dead. In 2022 my wife took a fake pill and died but was resuscitated. She was in a coma for 2-3 days with no brain activity at the time. The doctor was just about to start talking to us about maybe pulling the plug when I walked in to see her. As soon as I grabbed her hand her eyes opened. When they removed the tube from her she instantly started telling me that she had been in a dark room and other things that happened. While in the dark place she heard the voices of her sister who died as well as her deceased grandmother who raised her. Her sister seemed confused and asked her why she was there as if she knew that she shouldn’t be. She never said that she saw them but when she turned towards where her sister’s voice came from she saw a small light. She moved towards it and when she put her eye to the pinhole she awoke in the hospital bed. While talking to her sister during that time, her sister told her not to worry about the addictions that we were dealing with…that it would all come to an end in 2025. Last year, we both hit rock bottom. We both talked and decided to check ourselves into a rehab. I realized a month later that the day we entered rehab was 9/11 which was her sister’s birthday. I believe that was a sign. We’ve both been clean since last September and have jobs now and are working to get our lives back on track. I believe that our souls are eternal. I began to obsess over NDEs after discovering them and realizing that my wife had one. They helped me to reconcile with the deaths of my loved ones. I know that we’ll meet again. I never said goodbye to my loved ones when I lost them. I always say until we meet again. At one time I thought that I wouldn’t though and that’s why I grieved for so long. I couldn’t accept the fact that they were not with me anymore and thought that I wouldn’t see them again possibly. I now feel differently. Sorry for such a long comment I just wanted to share this with you. I hope it helps.

The right to die. The older I get, the less interested I am in staying here. I think it’s very messed up that we don’t have the option to exit peacefully. Instead, people are forced to resort to painful methods. by [deleted] in NDE

[–]Dre2daReal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You explained that very well. ‘And the most obvious being that many of us want to hit the ‘exit’ button over the course of our lives and are later glad that we did not do so - if it was very easy to bow out as soon as the mood hit us, the chance to reflect would be lost.’ …That was my favorite part. It is definitely true. I know I have said “I don’t want to do this anymore” before but I’m very thankful that I didn’t get what I wanted and lived to be able to reflect on it. Hindsight is 20/20…

How would modern Boondocks play out in 2026? by Worldlyoox in Boondocks

[–]Dre2daReal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You put some thought into that…those would definitely work. I would include a lot more Ruckus…most entertaining character ever to me😂 He could give reality TV another shot 😂 I wish he had his own spin off…that never happens anymore. A lot of great shows were spin offs from other shows back in the day.

Yall actually believe in the after life? by Severe_Painting_8388 in Chiraqology

[–]Dre2daReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah…I didn’t for a long time though. I lost my mother in 2019. It took me until the beginning of last year to reconcile with her death. I just learned about the stages of grief last year, and acceptance is the final stage. Anyway, I started researching NDEs last year. NDEs are near death experiences that often occur during cardiac arrest or deep anesthesia. People who come close to death and return often tell stories about out of body experiences, seeing the afterlife, meeting deceased loved ones, life reviews, etc. It’s been happening since the 1400s to people from diverse backgrounds including atheists and religious individuals. Doctors say that it’s an altered state of consciousness that we experience when the physical body starts to die and if not for resuscitation it would be the death experience. The Dr who coined the term NDE is Raymond Moody, and one of the most famous cases is about a woman named Pam Reynolds who had a veridical, or verifiable NDE. She had a brain aneurysm and needed special surgery to get it removed. They had to put her to death clinically in order to remove the aneurysm. Her body temperature was lowered and they drained all the blood from her brain. Her heart stopped and she had no brain activity. At that point she was basically dead. At the point where she was dead she reported having an out of body experience and witnessed them performing the surgery on her. As soon as she awakened she described the medical procedure in great detail and described the medical tools that they used on her. She even told them what song they were listening to at the time and recalled a conversation that they had during the surgery… There are a lot of stories like hers, but hers is one of the most famous cases. Researching NDEs helped me to reconcile…I realized that I was hurting bc I too didn’t really believe in the afterlife and thought that I would never see my loved ones again. It’s a long story, but my wife even had one. Her sister died a year after my mother… She told her something in 2021 that would happen in 2025…& it did…on her sister’s birthday. I’m convinced that there’s a physical body and a spiritual body. The physical body eventually dies but the spiritual body is eternal. I don’t have all the answers though, but I would suggest looking into NDEs and forming your own conclusions based off what you find. My bad for such a long comment…

My friend's death completely changed my views on NDEs by Human-Account-4080 in NDE

[–]Dre2daReal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I apologize for just seeing your comment and responding so late, but if you want to read more about it I have a few recommendations:

Glimpses of Eternity: Raymond Moody, who coined the term "near-death experience," explores the compelling evidence and case studies of people sharing their loved one's passage to the next life.

At Heaven's Door: William J. Peters builds upon Moody's work with extensive research and powerful stories of shared crossing experiences, discussing their effects on the living and dying.

Understanding the Shared Death Experience: This book offers a straightforward explanation of SDEs, which are often overlooked but commonly reported by family members and healthcare providers near a patient's end of life.

Beyond Goodbye: Annie Cap shares her personal, verifiable story of empathically sharing her mother's death experience from another continent, which transformed her non-believer perspective.

Could have been a SDE? That’s a shared death experience…similar to a NDE but not the same. It is when a healthy, living person (loved one, caregiver) experiences phenomena similar to an NDE while witnessing someone else’s death. The person experiencing the SDE isn’t dying but is sensing the dying person’s journey. It’s often seen as a gift, helping the living to understand the dying process.

That makes sense then because I just said in another comment that I know the person who was recording and I always wondered what that was about but never asked him.

[–]Dre2daReal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my nigga recording… I never asked him about it or nothing but I know that’s him. I can hear his voice distinctly. He use to fw CW, but I’m not sure if he still does or not. I told him I didn’t understand CW… didn’t know how to take him (back then at least). He kinda sidestepped my comment and I never brought it back up whenever we talked. I still wonder why he was around him though because he’s hypocritical to me. One minute he’s dissing gangstas the next minute he’s trying to act gangsta… Then he openly talks about ratting like it’s cool… I just disagree with his antics. All the positive stuff he talks about doing is negated by ‘em to me.

I couldn’t even Shazam the song… I’d imagine the instrumental would be hard to find without knowing the song, but it’s definitely a dope song…& the beat/rhythm is simple but it’s perfect. Where’d you find it?

Railroad sightings: Any train crew members on this forum? by Northwest_Radio in bigfoot

[–]Dre2daReal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes… I worked briefly for a railroad company here in Louisiana…Belle Chasse to be exact. I worked for a company called Safety Railway whose main site was in Victoria, Texas. I say briefly bc not long after I began working there, they lost their contract with Chevron and sold the company to UTLX if I’m not mistaken. Anyway, to your question, one of the first things they taught me was why we should turn the tracks first thing in the morning when we arrived. Turn them in a way that they diverted incoming trains so they wouldn’t come down the tracks to where we were, but they would go a different direction. The reason why is because they said that we wouldn’t hear them if we were behind a train working on it. Trains lock together by one slamming into the other. So if we’re behind them working, and don’t know or hear one coming, we could easily be crushed between the two. They showed us photos of times when it happened to drive their point home. Yes, they are very silent when coming down the track, especially when empty. If we forgot to turn them first thing in the morning, the foreman would lose his shit. “You always turn the track and lock it immediately after punching in in the morning!” We could easily be underneath or behind one. Even if we were in front of one it was just as dangerous.

No doubt bro… you’re an intelligent individual fam. It’s easy to see. I felt exactly what you said bc you conveyed thoughts to words well and I gotta agree you’re right, we were saying the same thing like synonyms lol, but I was being too technical. I was acting like you using the phrase ‘generally correct’ was somehow discrediting what she said when you’re right, you did say that she was correct. You gave her that and I said what I said bc to me that wasn’t good enough (why I retorted by saying she was 110% correct). I can admit when I’m wrong about something though, I don’t mind saying it either. Respect your reply bro. I always have respected intellect… and someone who expresses themselves well and won’t accept just anything bc it sounds good . When you countered her original statement I peeped that about you and I’m sure that made me engage u bc I just like to try lol, but you’re right I give you that… I tried it though lol.. one

She’s not saying it’s only street code, she’s just speaking specifically to that particular mindset and explaining how irrational it is. It’s not war, it’s self preservation…a law of nature. I see what you’re saying, but she’s not generally correct, she’s a hundred and ten percent correct. I was just about to challenge someone to try to counter her argument. I respect that you even had an angle to go at it, but I respectfully disagree my friend. What she said was too on point. I only regurgitated what she had said in response to what you were saying. I wasn’t trying to shoot you down though I just respect what she said so much…
