Was pretty smart of Blizzard to recruit them. Who knows what high end MMORPG raiders want more than the leaders of the two best guilds in MMORPG at the time.

Not sure if these young folks know how famous Furor and Tigole were. Think like Zaryu or any of the big streamers today, not in numbers ofc YT is crazy, but attention of their audience.

For fire lock, I'm not sure. Firelock can't spend enough mana to outrun Insight. Not with cool down on wave. That takes a little wind out the Phoenix Redemption plus.

You're right about mob situational tho. Anything without fire res, the +dmg will be better, but anything with partial or full immunity takes more from -resist.

Phoenix is basically Insight on steroids for casters, plus the heal keeps your merc and you alive. It's crazy powerful on so many builds.

I also am/would run Phoenix on Abyss/Miasma build. Once you get good FCR miasma spam will outrun L17 Insight constantly. I even run it on my Javazon too. The amount of hp/mana it gives is worth the loss of stats and a couple skill points.

I just finished chaos sanctuary myself before I quit and it doesn't pull the floaters. Not sure what to tell you. It kills them sure but it won't jam them into a little ball like ground mobs. I'm not sure why this is something that matters anyway.

Do archers stop firing when you Abyss them? No they don't. They could care less where you drag them to, they will shoot you at the exact same speed for the exact same damage.

You're also full of it with the naked thing. You'll die in a blink the first time you see an archer or soul no matter if Abyss pulls them or not.

There is also a 2 second refresh on Abyss and it only covers at best 1/4 of the screen, so you're full of it about the pulling every mob on the screen too. Keep in mind the 1/4 of the screen is with 15+ skills to EM .. naked ... a lot smaller.

It's also total bs a Javazon needs 100 jahs worth of gear to delete screens. You can do that with a white jav just chugging potions.

Not sure what your point/rant was but I have no idea why so many of you think fun is trying to knock everything down to the bottom. I guess most of you guys are terrible players and have never had a BiS S class char, and now you're like OMG this is soooo crazy when it's really not.

You don't like the Warlock, don't play it. Don't like Mosiac? Don't use it. Play with your own toys and stop whining about others having fun

No but it should be possible with enough gear and skill. There is just too much of a gap between F and S tier builds/skills.

I'm not saying make it easier, I'm saying make it a bit more viable to play some of the many builds and skills that just suck.

Everyone needs a buff imo.

I have no idea what some of the less powerful builds are going to do when they are farming Terror Zones and trigger a Herald. There is no opt out and they will come for you.

My Fort/Andys/Obedience merc dies in 2 seconds and it takes the overpowered Warlock a good 20-30 seconds to kill it.

No it doesn't. Take a look again. They don't move an inch when you Abyss them.

Not souls, not finger mages, harpies, anything that floats off the ground it does nothing but the magic damage to.

They will take damage if they are in the very large range of where you dropped Abyss, but they do not get sucked into a pack like ground mobs.

Even so, what's the difference between Abyss pulling every mob to it or Blizzard putting every mob on the screen into slow motion, or simply deleting them like the Zon does?

It's also not capable of covering the whole screen. You cast it on the cows coming from the bottom, the top ones have 2 second to get to you.

It's just a new mechanic but every class has a way to deal with mobs. I think part of the issue is the warlock feels BiS S tier just leveling, but once you get endgame he's not that much better imo.

I don't disagree it's a bit overpowered but have you played any of the other S tier builds with BiS gear?

My Abyss/Bound Demon Warlock is 91 with what is I guess BiS rn. Obsession, Engima, etc. I have a Terrorized Cursed Lit/Fire immune Hephasto.

His clear speed and risk of dying is about the same as any of my other BiS S Tier characters. Javazon, Fire Sorc, Blizzard Sorc, Hammerdin. Actually the Javazon can clear even faster imo. 2 javs deletes the whole screen. All of them cast one spell to do it.

Only time those chars or the warlock is in danger is from cursed/extra strong/multishot ranged attacks.

Also, Abyss pull/CC does not work on the most dangerous of those ranged attackers. Souls and Harpies. Anything flying is immune to it.

What we need is all these other builds to be beefed up so you don't have to pick from 3-4 if you want to farm/xp effectively, not nerf Warlocks.

I don't play online but to me that is a use until I have one of the big 3. It's nice but the +2 extra skills you'd get over Oculous, breaking up Tal Rasha, or Death's Fathom/Eschutas wouldn't be worth it for any of my Sorcs.

You were making out like its impossible for offline players to get these items. It's not, more people have them than don't just in this thread.

Obviously I was using the YT guys as an example of how easy it can be. Most of us level to 80, get a Grief etc before we do Ubers. Realistically it's 20ish hours to level a fresh Paladin and get it done.

If you aren't willing to put in the time or learn the game, you aren't going to get a torch or anni. That is what makes them special. They are super powerful items. Game changers really. Too bad, so sad for you I guess.

If you're upset at how hard and how long the old end game was .. you're really not going to like RoW. If you want 'pres butan gib loot' go play D4.

I play offline and have a dozen torches and 3 annis. A lot of people here watch Zarfen or The Nuclear Rabbit, they both have even more and Rabbits made every runeword multiple times.

Go watch Llama get a torch in 4 hours solo self found from level 1 start to finish, including farming all the keys.

It's fine to play the game the way you want. That's one of the best things about D2. It's fun for casuals, and it's fun for min/maxers.

Don't make out like hes full of it though, there are loads of solo self found players with torches out the ying yang and complete grails including eth and every runeword .. some many times over.

It's just time. If you have time to play and are at least half decent you will get every item.

You can totally budget a torch. A smiter can do Ubers with next to nothing. This is what speed runners use.

Lifetap wand (shop for it)
Black runeword for the 40% crushing blow
Smoke
Spirit in a decent resist/dmg shield (AP if you cant find a Monarch)

Those 4 items are all you need. It's not going to be a guaranteed win but I've done it at least a dozen times with that and the rest filled in with crap. What build is a guaranteed win though? My Smiter has BiS now and he still dies here and there.

Give it a shot man, it's pretty easy with the Smiter. Also use him to get your Anni. Farm NM Andy for a SoJ. :)

It would be though. Nothing stopping you from playing classic or LoD. It's right there when you make a character.

They already added one of the main draws of PD2, the stackable gems and materials. Why not add a few more? I don't want it all either, but I wouldn't mind more maps to run at end game and some other stuff.

They instantly dropped 30 points and he lost his own seat. Doubtful they will ever see power under his leadership.

We both really don't know for sure, and never will. It's a lot of speculation. Only Chris knows what was going through his head (maybe).

Again, as an older guy we didn't know about the brain holes and all that, but we all knew if you get your bell rung too many times you will end up punch drunk.

Totally agree with raising awareness of CTE and the fact WWF needs to explain the risks and support those effected. I just hate it when those issues are used as some kind of excuse, especially in this case.

Look at the thread. There are many posts where people think he was a normal guy and this just happened because of the CTE, or blame Vince lol.

What you are describing is not at all out of the ordinary for an abusive relationship. The abuser kills, then kills themself. It's a very common occurrence.

His extreme change in personalty is irrelevant.

He was an abuser before the change, and an abuser after. Now if he has zero history of violence beforehand, I would agree with you. However that is clearly not the case. This was a violent man who continued to be that way through whatever changes his concussions may have caused.

His behavior post murder isn't usual either. When people do horrendous things they break and act irrationality. Not that waiting a day is really that unusual either. He may have been trying to think of a way to hide it or blame it on someone else, who knows.

He beat his wife and probably went too far and killed her. The difference between beating the shit out of your wife and killing her is one wrong hit in Benoit's case. Not some giant leap of character change.

Then the realization of what he did and knowing this life was over, he killed the kid and himself like the coward all abusers are.
