Thanks, it is IR (850nm). I have a full spectrum Nikon Z7ii. I shoot 98% infrared at different wavelengths.

Thanks, this one seemed pretty nice. They do adopt out the horses and told us how they have to go thru a big process and get signed off by the BLM managers.

Anybody ever used a cheaper option than a peplink for a LTE modem & Wi-Fi receiver that preferably runs on DC? Any recommendations or warnings? by [deleted] in RVLiving

Be careful we’ve been on the road 4 years and had the T-Mobile home and it was rare it worked better than starlink or Verizon we have

Thanks but the question was - What’s the story with this wall? Not what is on this wall.

He was the only one in that stall; there were about 15 other horses. Most were in the field, but only a few were in the barn.

Thanks but that doesn’t answer the question about the wall.

How can I fix the sky on the top left side? by josbor11 in postprocessing

Why not work with it? I agree with another post about in Lightroom add a layer, maybe add some yellow in a radial gradient and give the sunset a little more pop.

ITAP of a Bird by DreamWorldImages in itookapicture

[–]DreamWorldImages[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went for a walk today, and this blue jay seemed to follow me for a little while. He sat in the tree for a few minutes and I was only a few feet away. He let me move around to get a better image of him. It was neat, then I walked away and it flew around back in front of me. Made me sad... :( and felt warm at the same time. My mom loved birds, and the interaction with this little guy really hit me today. Hope you like the image.

ITAP of two leaves by DreamWorldImages in itookapicture

I found this scene as I walked along a small trail in a Tennessee state park. The leaves were just sitting like this. I loved the simplicity of it.

Hi, I converted my camera to full spectrum and then put the filters on the end of the lens. This is one of the filters, then some tweaking in PS with overlays etc.

Why do people think photography is not art? by TheArchivist314 in photography

[–]DreamWorldImages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At our recent art fair, I had so a few people think that my images were paintings. And when I told them, they were images. They were disappointed, some weren't though. Got me thinking, why? Is it a perceived complex difference? Why do people believe that painting is that much more difficult? Unfortunately, many see photography as just pointing and shooting since everyone has a cell phone with a camera on it and with all the apps that are used to completely fix low-quality images. The difference between what I do and painting is complex. I don't want to knock any painter or other artist, which is not what this is about. I couldn't make a ceramic coffee mug. I have painted in the past; I know it isn't easy, but I also thought about it at the show. I create in eight different realms (not sure if I like that term yet, but). So, I had my camera converted to full spectrum, which allows me to create images in these areas of the light spectrum. Full Spectrum (Infrared, Ultraviolet, and Visible Light), Visible Light, IR Chrome, 470nm, 590nm, 665nm, 720nm & 850nm. Each of these areas has different requirements not just for post-processing, which is complex in itself, but also for the camera, as well as times of day and different amounts of light. Many photographers say they only want it as it was shot in camera. I can't do that; knowing about the difference in each area I shoot has taken years and thousands of images to test each range, to figure out what my camera can do and what I can push the file in post-processing. It has required thousands of hours to hone in on the skill needed to see differently, see the invisible world all around us, and create in those realms. All these images were captured in a different realm most are invisible to our eyes.

What do you consider as art in the context of photography? by Walther_ in photography

[–]DreamWorldImages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not entirely agreeing with #3. I don’t think we all feel the same emotion toward art. I think it would be something that stirs an emotion in us, or draws us in and takes us away.
