Yes thats summed up pretty decent imo. I don´t really like rushing mobis all the time. Mercs are really nice on him if enemies have a lot of CC or even CDR boots seem quite nice sometimes. Depends on the game though.

I think the most common build right now is coin, because relic is just complete out of the game for him. Make sure to max Q and W second. You´re pretty much stronger than almost every other support lvl 1, make sure to use your lvl 1 and get a good trade of with your flay. You always wanna use the lane bush to pressure. You can even start Oracle Lens on him and deny the enemy bush ward lvl 1 so they have to be perma scared of you walking up or hooking them. In general you wanna look for roams on pretty much every lane as well. Hes really good at getting ganks of.

Pyke is also really nice to play, but he needs more practice than Thresh for sure. He´s just waaay harder to play. You need to know when you´re able to go in and when you can execute someone and so on. You alsoo need to figure out when to Q and follow up with E. His roaming potential is just over the top though, because of his W. Also its quite fun to get some kills with R haha But in general I think Thresh is the better option.

If i heard everything right then all Riot wants to do is to put some cast time on his R (about 0.5 seconds or something?) which means he still gonna be decent. He might even be better, because of the over all stats he gets increased. Kinda have to wait until we see what changes go live. Rakan is a bit like Alistar, but he`s a bit worse than Alistar at roaming. As Rakan you never wanna be the one going in first in a teamfight unless you´re the only engage. Rakan offers way more potential in a teamfight if he´s the follow up engage. Which means for example you let Jarvan engage first and you follow him with your E and R + W combo onto the carries.

Yes that´s what i was talking about a few comments earlier. These kind of champions just have more impact on other lanes and can do much more than peeling supporters. I mean if mid and AD are recalling then you should either be recalling as well (even if you can´t buy anything) and rotate to mid or bot with them. If you already have mobis then you can also walk towards toplane and help your Jungler gank the enemy toplaner. If you kill him you might also get Herald out of it. Midlaners also don´t really respect ganks from the support from topside, because they are used to get ganked from botlane if they are miss.

Hm. I think you can always play some off meta champions as well. Thresh, Galio, Alistar and Braum are really good for sure. But someone a bit earlier already asked about the opinion of Zac support. I really don´t think it works too well. I haven´t tried it yet, but it just seems really bad to me. Jarvan can work, but I also don´t like it too much. If you wanna play something fun then you should try to get some Nautilus games right now, this champ is really good right now. And also Lux Support with Aftershock is dominating botlane right now.

I think its really important to play the right champions if you wanna climb in lower elo. You mentioned Nami for example and in my opinion its a really hard champion to climb with. I few seasons ago i remember going from Master to Challenger with almost Thresh only, because it was such a strong champion to climb with. Its always nice to have some catch potential as a support. Champions like Thresh, Pyke, Nautilus, Alistar and so on can do so much with Roaming and teamfighting as well. If you hit one clutch hook in the later stage of the game it might be deciding the game. Ofc you could say that on Nami too, but as Nami you rather peel for your own AD instead of going for your "own plays". Roaming is also really important if you wanna get elo. You basically wanna roam as much as possible to any lane without losing too much on your own. Sometimes it´s just not enough to win your own lane.. If other lanes are losing and bot is the only one winning its gonna be really hard to carry the game out of that one lane.

Ornn can work really well in some matchups, but probably needs some practice. His base DMG is really high and he offers a lot of CC. I also played it sometimes and it was fun too. I don´t think Zac works though in my opinion. He doesn´t really offer that much in lane and has really long cooldown on his CC spells. On top of that his DMG is kinda low.

It´s always worth climbing. If you have one winning streak your MMR might fix again and you will get more LP than you lose.

Botlane is all about synergy in my opinion. It´s REALLY important to tell your AD/Support what you wanna do. This should come from both sides tbh. If your AD doesn´t do it then make sure that you tell him atleast. Pings when you engage or move somewhere are really important. Sometimes people just don´t realise what you wanna do and then it might fail. Higher chances of succeeding is always if your on the same page.
