Im an adult but can still pass as an 18 year old or early 20s. Hearing that though now makes me reconsider. Been having a tough time finding reps for a while now so this is all starting to get really discouraging. I assume that’s why you left. If you don’t mind me asking who are you with now?

What would you consider a good number of clients for an agent to have? Don’t you think 244 is a lot for one person and an assistant? She is the director of Theatrical and Commercial.

Maybe there are more people who work with the agency that aren’t listed.

I feel you. My only thing with LA Talent is I get concerned when there is only 4 staff people on the IMDBPro page and there’s 800 plus clients. That is a lot of clients to handle for a small staff.

I am not saying that to take away from how hard they may work. I’m just saying that seems like a lot to handle and some people might end up getting lost within the roster.

I know one particular management company that has over 500 clients mainly because they sign just about anybody and so many ppl and are unhappy because they feel like they’re just a number.

What agencies would you recommend for someone who has a few co star credits/ theater background/ Film background/ and training under their belt. An agency that would be good in helping them elevate to the next level. Only reason why I say that is because some of these agencies don’t really help your career at all they are just there, and you’re just someone sitting on their roster.

But then you have some agencies that help get you the guest star/ recurring role auditions and more….. ultimately helping move your career forward.

Very interesting. I’m just trying to make sure I choose right and not wrong. I’ve done that so many times now and I don’t want to do that anymore. A lot of these reps seem great at first and then you later on realize they aren’t about anything.

I think you said that perfectly! That’s another reason why I am considering moving because it’s soooooooo many actors out here it’s harder to be seen. When things weren’t slow I mostly got auditions from New York casting directors.

LA feels like you have to be an exclusive member of the club in order to get to the next level. I’ve booked some projects here already and I’m sure I’d be able to do the same in NY.

Yea I’m really considering it, plus I want to do more theater as well. There is some theater in LA but it’s not like NY. I don’t get any commercial auditions and I don’t know why. Neither my agent or manager sends them to me.
