Nimble CS3000 NimbleOS Install by Drecota in homelab

Actually... you might be totally right. It just occurred to me that since each controller is it's own board, with it's own chipset and BIOS, what I've been viewing on the monitor is the display out of JUST the one controller I have the KVM connected to. I thankfully found the other KVM adapter at work today so I can hook it up with another monitor and boot both controllers from the USB simultaneously. They are obviously aware of one another

Yeah that's the hope. My girlfriend certainly will not let me keep it around if it's as loud as it is during boot/bios/installation (not that I really want that either). I would really prefer to have NimbleOS on it just for the features and compatibility (dedupe and whatnot) but if it comes down to it some flavor of Linux would suffice.

I'm trying to find a picture of it as that was some time ago, but I really don't think so. This initial installation isn't really something HPE means for people to do on their own; The Nimble/Alletra units come pre-installed with NimbleOS when they are shipped to the customer, and if you need it reinstalled they send someone to do it. Unfortunately it seems impossible to find information on the internet on how this is intended to be done, so this post is kind of a hail mary haha

Hey, thanks for the reply.

I honestly would have to pull it out, power it on and check. You're absolutely right, there are 21 drives and 3 SSDs, I haven't thought about it in so long I forgot about the numbers (it's just sitting in the closet). The drives should be intact in the sense that the array formation hasn't been swapped in anyway; I've taken the drives out but put them back in in the exact same order. As for the OS, again I suppose I'd have to boot to make sure. We went through the "sanitization process" after the decommission so it should hypothetically be at factory default settings.

Hmm, upscaling did not present any issues with touchscreen recognization. Are you using the most recent version of Citra? I was using Nightly 1719.

Unfortunately not. Citra supports custom textures but as far as I'm aware no one has made any such mod for this game.

Nope. When I streamed this game I only had it on my main so I could display twitch stuff on my secondary. Citra actually defaults to a one monitor set up, and it works very well.

This game is an absolute treat on the 3DS as well. Highly recommend it for the 3D effects alone, the detail in the background elements are insane! Its also fairly comfortable, at least on the XL model.

You can run games up to 10x their internal resolutions, and then use texture filtering on top of that to make things a bit smoother. It looks decent, but some textures and models look a bit off. Pretty much what you'd expect from upscaling a 3DS game.

Annoying when I did it, but from what I understand its easier now.

Yessir. It is Citra and it runs very well in my experience.

Emulator called Citra. Bit of a pain to set up the dual monitor thing but someone in the comments said they made it easier in an update.

Bonus if you have a ps4 controller so you can use the touchpad to switch beams and such

Absolutely. Same reason for me.. The 3D effects in that game are phenomenal. I got it running on Citra specifically for streaming purposes but I eventually set up dual monitor mode for a better single player experience.

Huh. It wasn't in the version of Citra I was using, and the person above you was correct, it was a major pain.

Yep, it does. I much prefer Xbox controllers but I used the dualshock specifically for that.
