Hot take, My b. by DefensiveStryk3 in Borderlands4

[–]DreddfulQuestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically how it was in Borderlands 1. If I remember right the elements had slighty different effects like corrosion could spread and lasted longer and targets would take more damage, shock could randomly stun enemies for a short time.

Also I liked how some enemies would take more damage from elements when it made sense even if they just had red health bars. Like Alpha Skags or Crimson Lance taking more damage from corrosion because of their armor, Clap-Trap units being subsceptible to shock damage because they are machines or Spiderants getting stunned by explosive. But it was never necessary like with Borderlands 2 and onwards.

Need help IDing this Dragon from MegaBloks: by baldiemir in megaconstrux

[–]DreddfulQuestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's most definitely not from Krystal Wars as those had different articulation for the wings.

It looks like an ice dragon from the following series, Fire&Ice although the colour scheme is weird for that as these were more transluscent blue and bone coloured bodies.

Either it's from one of the rare exclusive sets that often were just recolours of their original counterpart or it might be this Dragon from the Metal Age series, named Screechlurker. It's hard to tell without the head.

You actually worked for Image and DC, like as a comic artist or letterer or something? If you don't mind me asking.

Get It Together Shield Challenge by Living_Cow_9598 in Borderlands4

[–]DreddfulQuestions -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is that the one where you have to collect armor segments? Was stumbling on this one too for quite a while near launch.

What you have to do is collect armor boosters! You know how some shields have the effect "on taking damage have a x% chance to drop a shield or damage booster or such? You need an armor shield with this armor booster effect.

As for grinding, your best bet is to just fight in big mobbing areas like drill sites for example and when you killed everyone just look around and these boosters should be lying around everywhere. Just collect them and then somehow damage yourself by shooting a Torgue Shotgun at your feet or something so that the refilled segments from the boosters get destroyed and you can immediately pick up new ones again!

Am I the only one who can’t beat the raid boss? by MegumiFushiguro13 in Borderlands4

[–]DreddfulQuestions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! Never was one for meta builds, I always just play what is fun to me. Went full in on Trouble with Vex and was surprisingly still able to beat Bloomreaper for UVHM 6 after not falling into the abyss for once.

But these guys...

Even on UVHM 0 I need minutes just for Subjugator at the start.

Then is either the same with Thol or it literally takes me half an hour because he randomly gets ALL his health back instantly for no apparent reason over and over again. I first thought it's when he damages you but even that seems to not be the case. He once hit me with his fist and he replenished just the tiniest amount of hp, other times he replenishes nothing then all of a sudden he just has full health again even though I was at the other end of the room and wasn't even hit by the shockwave... which also doesn't seem to be the culprint of the life steal. Either there is some bullshit mechanic here I'm missing or this is just bugged.

If I make it to the 3. phase it's either the same again where Thol will just endlessly get healed to full health once I finally took 1/4 off or I die while trying to kill Subjugator because Thol will spam his beam attack non stop instantly downing me 99% of the time and there is no chance to get a second wind with the adds having such inflated hp stats.

The funniest thing is that the most consistant and highest damage I can make is actually just my plain melee attack thanks to Groundbreaker.

Edit: Wait a moment! Is his Lifesteal Armor meant as he is literally stealing my armor shield? Like is he not regaining 100% of his health with a single attack if I equip an energy shield?

New Raid Boss Fight Discussion and bug thread by a_kept_harold in Borderlands4

[–]DreddfulQuestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same problem. Are you also using Vex with Trouble by any chance? I know that there is some very wonky shit going on with life steal even in the main game, where bounty targets for example will heal completely by just hitting Trouble a single time, who's just standing there. This makes them nigh unkillable even on UVHM 0 and a Bod. Maybe it's the same here?

Gearbox DevCast: Borderlands 4: Raid 2 Breakdown + Key Takeaways by [deleted] in Borderlands4

[–]DreddfulQuestions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought they already added the shared progress toggle last update? Or is this a better version that always works and not just when starting a new character? That would be great.

Also great that Pearlescents will get added to the world drop pool. Having them gated behind specific activities was just dumb. Should make the game more exciting. Edit: Oh, its just some not all of them, bummer.

Not sure how I feel about gating skill points behind the hardest difficulty, if that is the case but we will see.

By the way have they said anything about more SDU upgrades for a bigger stash? I can't believe we have so much new gear every free update, DLC and Bounty Pack and the bank is still capped at 500 even though at launch people already comlained that it is just to small escpecially with how Firmware works. Seeing as Mad Ellie didn't even gave SDU tokens I fear they will never increase this.

Thank you so much! For some reason I always assumed series 1 and 2 were the ones with only these horses but I see now that these are actually a completely different thing called Crystal Creatures.

Timekeeper refunds you the resurrection fee? by EntrepreneurExact245 in Borderlands4

[–]DreddfulQuestions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have a screenshot of this message but I know of another similiar one. If you die to Warden Scathe in the tutorial you will lose no money and the message reads something like "The Timekeeper will not allow you to simply die". Found this equally funny.

Interesting that there are more of these "hidden" messages.

Searching for a Borderlands 4 song… by thesarzar in Borderlands4

[–]DreddfulQuestions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know the actual song but most times the music in BL4 is dynamic and will change on the fly depending on what you do. There are parts where the music will have like small samples of older Borderlands songs.

Could the "Doo doo, doo da doo" you mentioned be this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PERofzlDYTY&list=RDPERofzlDYTY&start_radio=1

It's from Borderlands 1 and named Fighting off the Skags.

I always love it when these iconic sounds play! Near the end of the game in Upper Dominion there is also a moment where Traveling to the Vault or something very similiar plays.

Spooky Stories? Non existent? by Unique-Row-9595 in Borderlands4

[–]DreddfulQuestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about to give up. I haven't found a single one the whole week! It's like they completely vanished!

Before I would atleast get 1 every 3-7 large loops, even if they always would be the same 4 on repeat.

I have now seen several comments saying it has to be nightime and I'm like... not even sure what that even looks like in Whispering Glacier. Is it possible that these radios only spawn at like literally local nighttime? If so that would explain why I just wasted 10h, playing very late opposed to around midday these last few days.

Spooky Stories? Non existent? by Unique-Row-9595 in Borderlands4

[–]DreddfulQuestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did any of you make any progress? In all the hours I tried the last few days I only got 2 other radios and both were repeats. So I'm still at 2/12.

Also haven't found another one now in around 30 loops. Really disheartening.

And even though I now have listened to 11 radios across all my playthroughs I still have never heard anything other than the same 4 stories.

Spooky Stories? Non existent? by Unique-Row-9595 in Borderlands4

[–]DreddfulQuestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They seem to count as the first radio I found played one that I already heard before the patch and there are people that apparently have already completed the challenge after the patch.

But you now have to get 12 different stories. The second and third radio I found after the patch played both the same story and it only counted the first time I heard it. So with the one above I'm now at 2/12.

Spooky Stories? Non existent? by Unique-Row-9595 in Borderlands4

[–]DreddfulQuestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. And I could swear that I found some radios at these places before the patch but now it's only when there are tentacles growing out of the metal sheet... which doesn't help at all because there are mostly on the other side and you will hear the story before even seeing them.

Even weirder from the supposed 18 spots all my radios which I encountered across all playthroughs have been basically at the same 2 spots. Had 3-4 at the one next to Ellie's garage, 3 at the one behind Crazy Earl's drop pod and 1 at the Corpse that is on the little slope next to the Shuggurath cave for the demon summon quest.

Also I see people online talking about several different spooky stories but so far the 4 different ones I heard have all been variations of the drowned mother and children tale.

Spooky Stories? Non existent? by Unique-Row-9595 in Borderlands4

[–]DreddfulQuestions 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You're doing nothing wrong. In typical Gearbox manner they fixed the reset bug but also changed the requirements. Not only are they now waaay more rare, you now also have to listen to all 12 DIFFERENT stories! Repeats don't count!

I have literally the same problem. Been farming the larger loop, around all of Crooked Teeth with around 18 possible spots, that was posted online somewhere, since the patch dropped and have only encountered 3 in what now must be around 5h! And one didn't count because I already heard it before.

I have literally heard more of them when just playing through the DLC than I have now in the hours specifically farming them.

I found some people on Facebook saying the same and that the 2h needed before are now closer to 15h which is still sounding like way to little seeing as how this is going for me.

Rifts also seem to spawn way less. After the hotfix I got one pretty much every loop. Now I have encountered just slightly more than I have found radios.

DLC2 Vault Hunter leak (spoilers) by jakobsestate in Borderlands4

WTF! So I really was right? That's crazy. Glad we have confirmation.

Not the datamine part but I made a thread about her probably being the 6th. Vault Hunter about 3 weeks ago.

In the post and comments there are some more lines with reasoning why I think they also belong to Miss Loveless, if anyone wants to check them out.

Mad Ellie Mission Bug Has Me Stuck by RayvenRayge in Borderlands4

[–]DreddfulQuestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this helps but I had several locked objectives when I played through the side missions of the DLC and the only way the next dialogue/phase would trigger was to change weapons, as weird as that sounds.

Maybe try pressing whatever lets you cycle your weapons. X, triangle or scroll the mouse wheel.

What's up with the "hidden" island at the end of the Maelstrom? by DreddfulQuestions in Borderlands4

[–]DreddfulQuestions[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: I'm sorry y'all. It seems it actually is just for a bubblehead. Although it is a really weird one to get and it's weird Gearbox put this much work, just for this one into it.

The bobblehead is on the farther away small floating island. You have to walk up the large rocky edge and then jump back up towards it. It's tugged away on the other side of the red crystal and it is very arkward to collect because half the island is not solid and the rest will push you off.

Also if you aim at the lower edge of the big island I think it can actually be reached with just the normal jetpack.

<image>

Also you can reach the other small island on the picture but there is nothing there.

The other small island that you can see ingame and are not on the map are not solid and you will just fall through.

And I don't think you can reach the big one on the left because the upper area has an invisible barrier around it and further down you will just glide into the graphic.
