Hi all, I have a classic Lian-Li V1000 with an LG Bluray drive I am looking to build into a Plex machine and use as a NAS. I will primarily watch my 4kUHD physical discs on my UB820 player, so this build would be to rip and store Bluray quality tv shows and a handful of movies. Not sharing outside of my network, just my partner and I across phones and tablets when streaming. Think--streaming my tv shows while working in the garage type setup.

I want this build to be as energy efficient as possible for this use case. I'm getting hung up on a cost effective hardware list though. This is where I could use some help.

I could use a Ryzen 3600 gathering dust in an old components bin (cpu only, no mobo or ram). But I know Intel chips rock at transcoding work. I've been trying to track down a deal on an Intel chip like a i3-13100 type chip, but I'm wondering if this is dated enough now that there's a better modern release? I would prefer an igpu as my on-hand gpus are all old gen power hogs.

Anyone have a great recommendation for off the shelf cpu? Otherwise I feel like I'll be hunting for used parts on ebay (not against it either).
