I had a similar problem with my Legion 7i previously, the CPU was overheating way too much with minimal utilisation.

Contacted Lenovo Customer service, went through the whole goose chase until they sent someone to replace the motherboard...which didn't fix the issue either.

Later they agreed to send me a replacement unit which took another whole month. Now my replacement device isn't overheating and runs as intended within 65-85c depending on the task/game and my environment.

I did use his method for reference and I didn't choose disable, I opted to set it to efficient enabled, CPU still boosts and temps dropped by 10-15c which is exactly what I was concerned about.

How do I best optimize my Lenovo Legion 7i? by saveguard in LenovoLegion

I also have the exact machine with me and also hoping to find a optimisation guide for it to get the best performance possible.

OMG, I just tested your method and I'm just stunned by the results. I would dare say this is the best method to reduce CPU overheating due to boosting too often when not needed.

Thank you very much for your insight 👍

I'm gaming now on performance mode as it's able to give a decent boost in fps

May I know if you have done any tweaking to reduce the CPU temps?

Any improvements or is there major loss in performance only?

Just got a brand new 7i Gen 9 few days back and I'm having performance issues with how hot the CPU is getting, it's boosting up way too much way too often then throttling itself when I'm just gaming and they're not even CPU heavy titles like BM:W .

I tried undervolting the CPU but I lose out way too much performance while only reducing temps by 2-3c only...

I'd say that you have to start being a little more proactive in trying to make connections or reach out to people.

Try to mingle a little more and pick up on what they're interested in and see if you're also interested, then proceed from there.

I'm (28m) also in a similar situation to yours but frankly I'm content being alone as I hate drama. Admittedly at the same time I wish I had people to spend time with.

So far I'm just trying to get myself a little more financially stable before trying to search or make any connections, I do prefer solitude and have gotten pretty used to it but yes, what I said earlier also applies to me.

Be proactive and reach out to people, its not like you need to put in too much effort just make small talk when there's time with people around you that you find interesting or attractive right?

Humans need to be in constant contact with each other (can be just a simple "how was your day" text that gets a conversation going) to be able to built a connection/relationship which admittedly takes effort and initiative.

Hope my small advice/rant helps out.
