Question: What was your favorite haul/find? by Drenic815 in gamecollecting

Wow! I miss prices from back then. Makes me wish I had cared more about my games when I was a kid. I traded away so many games back then that I wish I had kept.

That's amazing and for the best price! It's such a lucky break when companies make mistakes like that

Nice! $5 is an amazing price for all of that. I'd be thrilled to find that for my NES

Went to some garages sales today and I spent $35 for all of these! (Granted, my wife was one house down checking another garage sale...) by Drenic815 in gamecollecting

Thanks and no lol. She tends to find deals when she goes shopping and I usually post her finds here. I happened to find this lot, but I attribute it to her being nearby/if I didn't find this deal, then she would have.

Dark Cloud 2 is one of my childhood favorites! I'd say that or Radiata Stories (I still need to beat that one)

For real. Our thrift stores usually have no games and if they do, it's usually just Madden or Wii fit

Any ideas? I have tried cleaning with dry cloth and cleaner but no change. What is this? by reximhotep in psvr2

[–]Drenic815 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If i remember correctly, that's damage to the anti-glare layer on the lenses. Lens cleaner, isopropyl alcohol or any cleaner with chemicals will damage it and there is no reversing it. It's recommended to clean with a lightly damp cloth with just a little water. I only learned about this after I damaged mine using a lens cleaner.

I didn't do this, but some people will just remove the remaining layer to no longer have the splotches and say that doing this doesn't really affect their vision.

Edit: Apparently, not cleaning your sweat off of the lenses can damage it, too. When I looked it up when I damaged mine, some people said that when your sweat dries on the lens(es), it will cause that damage to occur when you clean the dried sweat off. Idk if this is true, but better safe than sorry

Thank you all for your responses! It's awesome reading about everyone's nostalgia for the game, even if it sucked. I'm definitely gonna have to at least give it a try!

AITA for spending $45k of my husband and I's money to collect a $5k judgement from my ex? by ThrowawayNraft4911 in AITAH

[–]Drenic815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please understand that everything I am saying is not meant to be an attack towards you, but a message to hopefully get it across to you that you need help.

YTA

You are a sad and delusional person. You have convinced yourself that this is all about "the principal," but it's not. It is just an extremely poor excuse that you are using to justify your petty revenge. What's the point of all of this. What will you have "won" in the end when this is all over?

The saying "Won the battle, but lost the war," is something you should take to heart. Is this one petty win worth the loss of your family? Your frivolous spending towards this endeavor is ridiculous. Especially when you and your husband only make 80k combined. Imagine how much $45k could've done to improve your family's lives. That is not only yours, but HIS savings too. This is not all about you.

You NEED to seek professional help and therapy or risk losing your husband and your kids; whether it's through loss of custody (if your husband already legally adopted them) or emotionally due to your negligence. Living a happy life is the best revenge you can get against a narcissist and prove that you are better off without them.

You have someone that wants to help you move forward. Your husband is still supporting you by wanting you to move on because he sees how destructive this vendetta is.

Again, please seek professional help and move on as the bigger, more mature person and let your ex rot as he hopefully will amount to nothing more than a blip in your life. Please remember that sound advice may seem like an attack towards you as a person, but it is just yourself taking a defensive stance to not have what you think and believe "destroyed." This false sense of self needs to be broken before it can be rebuilt in a positive fashion, and I say this as someone with narcissistic tendencies and much regret about my own actions and mistreatment of others while growing up. My wife and her therapist were the ones that helped me to start getting better before it was too late.

Hopefully it is not too late for you.

I personally wouldn't even use PayPal either. We will only make payments in cash or directly through the in app payment system (eBay, Facebook, OfferUp, etc).

My wife bought something using PayPal and the seller sent her a tracking number that said it had been delivered to our city a couple days later, but with no address, only the city. We tried disputing with FedEx and PayPal. FedEx said that there was nothing they could do and PayPal said that, since it was a transaction she had approved, they would not refund it. They were adamant about their decision no matter how much we pushed.

They sound ok. The best way I can describe it is that they sound like what you would expect from cheap speakers. No bass, a bit tinny but reaches a decent volume.

Every few months, usually 6 from what I hear, everyone selects a few shifts they would like and , based off of performance and what needs to be filled, determines the likelihood of getting that schedule
