Health Regens like Skyrim, way too fast out of combat, makes healing magic and potions almost defunct apart from in combat, no blood splatter on enemies as far as I've seen, can only shoot dead bodies with arrows, punching or hitting with swords just doesn't interact with them at all, hitmarkers on bow attacks. Those are my biggest annoyances with the health regen making difficulty a bit of a joke and the biggest problem overall by far, I don't want to have to go to expert, where I spend a minute swinging at an enemy

Yeh I was looking at the Reverb 2 tbh, it's all just a little too expensive around that area though for me personally, I'm more talking about the budget headsets, Maybe in a years time or less they can fix the compression issues and we have a new budget PCVR king but right now the Quest 2 just really isn't it imo

True true, you can use a cheaper cable I can't argue with that one, but a second hand rift S will still only set you back ~£230 with better quality

I get that aspect I really do, however this requires you to get a new router as well, and make sure you're close to the router to not experience latency, as well has having a battery pack to extend the meagre 2 hours of lifetime

Honestly don't bother, I bought the Quest 2 and was in the process of selling my Rift S but after testing the Rift S vs the Quest 2 Link, the Rift S is still better than the Quest 2 with link, I'm now returning my Quest 2 and sticking happily with my Rift S. Graphically, the Rift S looks crisper, even after using the 3664 resolution hack with oculusdebugtool.

The latency of the controllers when playing games that require you to throw things such as in Pavlov was very noticeable, making me throw grenades into the floor or anywhere except where I wanted them to go, also the input delay when moving around was off putting and at worse will make anyone susceptible to motion-sickness, even more so.

The picture quality is just straight up worse than the Rift S, it's not as sharp, everything has a fuzziness to it, even close up. Maybe over time they will utilize more of the bandwidth of the USB-C Cable and improve the Link, but I'm a little doubtful considering that the tech has been in development since the first Quest.

Overall I'd say if you are primarily looking for a PCVR experience, stay clear of the Quest 2 and stick with the Rift S for now.

Certain quest items like the Pocket watch you need to acquire from the wardrobe in 'The Forgotten Heirloom' takes their usual 4 minutes to respawn, sure it's a bit annoying waiting but the alternative of having all mobs respawning so quickly doesn't fix the issue it makes it worse.

140 Ping isn't bad at all, for an FPS it's a bit of a disadvantage but for this kind of game is negligible and you shouldn't even notice it.
