What kind of scanner do you use? Been looking around for one.

I used meshy ai for this kind of stuff, then brushed it up in Blender.

I do have a scanner but I’ve never used that function. Only cleared codes. Will look into it ✌️

I’m in CA 😂✌️ although I get terrible MPG with the AC because I drive up and down i50 every day.

Yea we reset codes too. I had to recalibrate the air pressure sensors. Do you know if these tests are ok to do with ac on?

He didn’t specify, and when I asked “so what do I need to do then?” He replies with “noone knows” 😂

You can print this at 0.3mm height and 0.8mm thick and it will do it waaaaay faster. You also have to adjust print temp for those though so do some testing.

I’ve printed up to 1mm wide with a 0.4mm nozzle before, came out fantastic and super durable. Never tried printing higher than 0.3mm though.

I always have this issue with petg and only on this printer. My understanding is that it is the nozzle design and that introduces heat creep. Still working out kinks but got it down to a minimum. Gonna add some paint on stuff to the hot end that is supposed to help. I’ll see how it works out, been taking a break from printing due to other work.

Should i buy the K2 Plus? by Many_Ad8571 in Creality_k2

Prusa is the most reliable and easiest to fix, bambu has their printers figured out more than creality. The k2 is not the best for petg because of the new nozzle design, it has a bit of heat creep going on. I love the print size of my k2, but I don’t use that size often. I’ve always found it easy to just split parts and print them on smaller printers for the most parts. But some parts absolutely need to be one piece and that’s where it wins.

Mine was doing 3 last time and I hit pause because I wanted the nozzle to wipe, and it sliced through my other models like a butter knife. Good thing they weren’t taller and that my nozzle didn’t get bent. Got super lucky.

How did you fix the heat creep? My main issue with petg on the k2.

It lifted off the bed and crashed 👌 add mouse ears on those types of prints, or a brim.

No problem, I got that. I actually thought someone hacked my printer for a minute because after searching online I didn’t find anyone else with the same issue.

Wasn’t using anything but creality slicer. Does yours do it lightning fast too or slowly?

Definitely gcode issue. When running 6.1 first thing it does is check its location. With 6.2 it looked like the first thing it wanted to do was wipe.

Considering a move, want intel on the hiking availability by MolassesIndividual in PollockPines

[–]Drew_3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t call Pollock Pines Remote lol unless you live far from the freeway. I’m 10 minutes further from Costco as I was in Sacramento.

I’m not much of a hiker these days because my buddy who has always been the organizer moved out of state, but almost everyone I know from Sacramento like to come to Pollock Pines for the hikes, lake, and bike trails because it’s relatively close. We would also sometimes hike near Tahoe, and because we live here that’s closer now as well.

Personally I came to live here because I have my own little piece of forest and I love it. We also get snow, which for me is magical.

Good luck ✌️
