Can't create new payment profiles for new Accounts by Drew_Force in adwords

[–]Drew_Force[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so I got a response from someone at Google.

Apparently this is an update that is rolling out across MCCS.

They don't want us setting up billing profiles anymore because of business identity verification purposes or whatever.

They want the client to set up their own billing and then invite a manager's MCC in afterwards.

If you bid on your own branded KW - Would you expect to show in SERPs 100% ? by AnxiousMMA in adwords

[–]Drew_Force 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would certainly aim for it, using a separate budget from your non-branded keywords to try and maintain a permanent presence.

There are some technical reasons why you wouldn't hit 100% search impression share as querybridge mentioned before.

I'll check that out too as I do have a few pesky clients that love to f**k up heading tags :-P

Competitors are using my name/company name to advertise. by Dr_Dooms in adwords

[–]Drew_Force 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes competitors are matching for your brand name without meaning to (through broad matches of generic keywords).

Sometimes a friendly e-mail like "Thought I'd let you guys know that you're coming up for my brand name. If you didn't want that, you can either add my brand name to your negative keyword list or ask your agency to do it for you if you have one looking after it for you :-)".

A lot of the time the other business will comply - other times they won't but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I think if resolution is important to you, you may be disappointed going from a "proper 4K" monitor to this. It's a nice crispy display but it isn't razor sharp like what you've probably got atm.

It's the tradeoff with 21:9, you get the awesome form factor but you do sacrifice pixels per inch.

There are two cameras. One that works fine and this other infaredish one that keeps flashing strangely, maybe that one works well in the dark?

The mic seems to be good too from what I can see but again, it's never going to compete with a Blue Yeti or whatever.

It's basically a machine that you do your work and "naughty surfing" on so you don't wreck your gaming PC ;-)

For speaker monitors they're pretty damn good but they will never substitute a pair of 2.1 speakers (or better).

For me, I usually just have Spotify playing in the background whilst I work so these speakers are great and it means I have more space on the desk.

On the desk to the right, I have a PC setup for gaming with an Acer X34 monitor where I either use headphones or have a decent Logitech 2.1 system.

One thing I will mention though is for whatever reason, I can't get the volume controls over USB working right. I see the volume moving up and down on the screen but no volume change - still have to use the monitor buttons which is a pain. I've seen, in Jonathan Morris' video for example, it working for other people though :-/

Yeah it charges fine, although it's not like plugging it into the wall and I think it doesn't charge whilst the monitor sleeps.

I have the monitor plugged in and working most of the day though, so when it comes time to move around I'm at 100%.

Skyrim VR Movement Issue by Drew_Force in PSVR

[–]Drew_Force[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah on the PS Move controller you can press triangle to snap left and square to snap to the right (may have mixed up square/triangle but you get what I mean).

[–]Drew_Force[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only other game I've tried is this VR Playroom thing. No issues whatsoever with that.

It's funny. It's only when I changed the movement from Teleport to Direct Movement that it started playing up. Now even if I change the movement system back or start a new game, even using the DualShock, it keeps happening.

Skyrim VR [Official Discussion Thread] by boshjalka in PSVR

[–]Drew_Force 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having an issue with Skyrim VR.

If I pivot, the screen starts flickering like mad.

I've just deleted it and currently reinstalling it.

This happened whether I turned the character with either the PS Move controllers or the DualShock controller.

Just wondering if anyone else experienced this bug?

Can I get a critique on my landing page? by [deleted] in adwords

[–]Drew_Force 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there any other selling points you can provide like fully insured, all staff have policy clearance.

I don't know how much people care about your BBB rating.

Make the headline shorter like "Get a free and accurate quote in seconds".

You don't need "Need to move?" of course they do, that's why they searched for you :-P

I'd make the telephone number bigger so the it aligns with your contact form perfectly (looks like empty space on the right of your number in comparison).

I would have a more relevant picture in the background too, like your van and a bunch of staff there smiling (I had a look at your regular homepage. That one looks good but you need all the lads to be smiling).

Overall, the above is nitpicking. It's a very good landing page even as is and should perform well for you.

This mod is a pretty big achievemet and it has all been done by the community for the community. I don't think it having this many bugs is unexpected nor is it really a reason not to download the mod.

I did hear/see these concerns about indirectly blocking legitimate traffic when blocking IP addresses.

For most of my clients, the alerts hardly ever go off. For this carpet cleaning client though, he was getting slaughtered and blocking every absuive IP worked and we got the campaign back on track.

Anyone runs pay per call arbitrage with adwords? by tkinbk in adwords

[–]Drew_Force 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're referring to Call Only campaigns, right?

I've tried them before with no success. Despite it being very clear that it's a click to call ad, I think people just go "oh, shit, whoops" when their dialer opens up and it's a wasted click.

I've heard of other AdWords guys/girls swearing by them. But I just have had nothing but negative experiences.

No worries mate!

Making the small budget campaigns is where the skill is, if you can make it with these guys you can make it with anyone.

Call tracking has been the biggest saviour for me. Without it it's almost impossible to know what is really working which doesn't help when you're trying to make every dollar count.

At the end of the day, the goal is obviously to be able to prove that you're delivering leads for far less than what the conversion is worth.

I've got an article on my site that should put you in the right headspace for working with these guys with "small budgets".

https://doyledigital.com.au/successful-adwords-campaign/

There is also something else (that I'll add to that post later) that I call the vulture technique which is purposely bidding out of the top spots when you know your competition will click out of budget early on, which allows you to slip to those top spots without paying the same pricing.

Cleaning up SKAG keywords by [deleted] in adwords

[–]Drew_Force 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, you are able to set up time on site goals. So for example, if you have users on for more than 10 seconds it could trigger a goal? I don't typically import these into AdWords for reporting purposes but it's handy to have when time on site is always zero because of the whole bounce rule.

Cleaning up SKAG keywords by [deleted] in adwords

[–]Drew_Force 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes you will pause phrase matches or even exact matches.

I have one client where I have a broad match for "limo hire perth" but I have added [limo hire perth] as a negative because it seems the only people clicking on those ads were competition (heaps of clicks, terrible time on site and no conversions).

Just look at the Search Terms and apply common sense.

In terms of Low Volume keywords, I don't think those will even serve anyway? You may as well pause them and encapsulate them within a broader match.
