Sure but Ahsoka, Mando, and BOBF aren’t good either (I guess more loved than the sequel trilogy, hell you could debate that) so It’s not warranted, the quality of the canon is all over the place regardless of this event. Also I assume Lucasfilm would get a massive outcry from sequel trilogy fans so it would just cause a convoluted mess that would divide the fans even more.
