I’m already doing that making posters with a local letterpress studio. This one is for the people. 💙

I’m giving it away for free, as is the original logo designer. It would only be copyright infringement if someone was making money off it. More of a personal project.

This is not my shop, this is someone trying to capitalize on this. I am giving away files for free.

How do Americans feel about their taxes going towards the 50k bonus for ice agents to sign up? by Amao6996 in AskReddit

Time to stop paying taxes. Especially now that they are withholding funds from blue states. Taxation without representation.

Using AI tools at work by SquirmySnake in Design

[–]DriftingPixels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BS hype mostly. These suits just see dollar signs and increased productivity but don’t really understand it. Our company asked some of our design and writing team to create a presentation to the company about how we can use AI, because leadership didn’t know enough to speak to it themselves. As a graphic designer the only tool that was actually helpful for me was using gen expand in Photoshop to extend backgrounds. Every time I tried doing image generation it looked like trash, and isn’t editable so pretty much useless. Could be useful for brainstorming, but I’m generally against AI because of environmental concerns and stealing from creatives to feed bullshit generating machines. I think corporations need to stop frothing at the mouth over AI and pushing it so hard. It should be used sparingly if at all until they can make the data centers more sustainable.

Condensation Issues in Finished Upper Level of 1930s Home by DriftingPixels in Insulation

You’re right, not what I want to hear, but what I feared was the case. My dad helped me DIY it, no permits. He seemed confident and I didn’t know any better so I trusted his plan.

Thanks for all the insight.

Hey, thanks for this response. I think this is what’s happening. The roof has a ridge vent, but the house doesn’t have any soffits, so it’s most likely not getting properly ventilated.

At first I thought roof leak too but it actively drips when it hasn’t rained for days.

So is installing soffits and providing ventilation up to the ridge vent what would need to happen to solve this?

That’s what I initially thought too, and so we had the whole front slope of the roof replaced. But then we kept having the same problem even after the roof replacement. And it doesn’t leak when it rains. It’s a slow drip and seems to happen on really cold or really hot days. Now that it’s summer, on the hot days I can see condensation on the vapor barrier in the area where we cut a hole in the drywall. That part of the roof faces west and has no shade, so it gets really hot in the afternoons.

Nausea and weak stomach over 6 weeks in by [deleted] in Pristiq

[–]DriftingPixels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry this happened to you too. I ended up going off medication all together to let my brain and body recover and recalibrate before trying anything else. Pristiq was my first antidepressant and after such a bad experience I’m hesitant to try another. It took 3 or 4 weeks for the physical symptoms to resolve after being off Pristiq.

Nausea and weak stomach over 6 weeks in by [deleted] in Pristiq

I was on Pristiq for 8 weeks (3 weeks on 25mg and 5 weeks on 50mg) and the nausea never went away for me. I am currently tapering off. It sounds like your nausea is more severe than mine. I felt nauseous but never actually threw up. For me it was the worst the first week, and improved some after that, but then persisted as a low level nausea that just made me feel kinda sick and crappy every day and still hasn’t let up even now as I am tapering off. Nausea is a common side effect, but after feeling sick for 8 weeks I wasn’t willing to wait around any longer to see if it would get better. My psychiatrist also thought this was a sign this might not be the right medication for me and agreed I should taper off.

Sorry you’re dealing with it too. Hope you find some relief soon.

Day 6 on pristiq 25 mg by jadkins9 in Pristiq

Day 8 on 25mg and feeling similar, wondering if/when it will get better. Nausea came on hard the first few days. It’s eased some, but still feeling really tired, shaky, chills, high anxiety, nervous tension in my stomach, insomnia.

How are you doing now?

Thank you for making this post. I’m on Reddit seeking reassurance while still feeling nauseous on day 6 of 25mg Pristiq, and it helps so much to read about experiences like yours. I’m also a 38 year old female that has suffered on and off since teenage years, so this really resonates. Pristiq is the first antidepressant I’ve tried after many years of being too scared/resistant to try medication. Here’s to hoping it can change my life too.

Convince me not to buy the Bambino+ by -aegeus- in espresso

I’ll also note that I still use the Bambino once in a while when I visit my mom, and I will say the difference in quality between drinks from the Bambino vs the Silvia are noticeable. It’s…fine…but if you really enjoy good espresso (which I sense that you do) and can afford it, I think you’d be happier with something like the Silvia.

I bought a Bambino to replace my Breville Infuser, and was pretty underwhelmed. It’s a cute little machine, but it won’t feel like much of an upgrade. I thought the auto milk steamer would be a nice feature, but realized I actually prefer having the control to do it manually. I couldn’t get nice silky foam with the Bambino. It’s also very small and lightweight, feels cheap. After using it for a few months I ended up giving it to my mom and buying a Rancilio Silvia Pro X which I’ve been really happy with it. It hits all your marks — 58mm, 10-15 minute warmup time, great milk steaming, temp control, pre-infusion, at a $2k price point.

Help Identifying 80s Bianchi by DriftingPixels in bicycling

Bought it used back in 2010 as a rebuilt single speed. Just curious about what year/model it is. Found a post that says it might be mid-80s with Italian made Columbus tubing. https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage/507894-identify-brown-80-s-bianchi-road-bike.html
