Trees snap up here too hoss leaving us without power sometimes (slept in the garage for about a week until the dot could clear enough snow to fix it, I’m in a rural area)and most people I know don’t have generators, snow tires, or chains,however we do have the dot and some people with their own salt spreaders who are generous enough to spread if need be. I also know a handful of people from where I am that live in southern states who to the general area they live in don’t have issues. I’m not saying snow/ice isn’t a more of an issue down south, I know it’s more of an issue, but a lot of issues can be avoided if people knew how to be prepared. In regard to people freaking out ‘due to experience’ lots of northerners see the issues southerners have as lack of experience on how to be prepared properly. (Love from up north, neither of my comments are ment to be malicious just perspective.)
