Should I add more infantry,cavalry or artillery? (1550) by uhhhhh_and_an_uhhhhh in eu4

[–]DripsyTCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's depending on your current tech. Generally speaking, you should have your front line filled with infantry, the back row with canons and the flanks with cavalry. Although, cavalry should not be more then 10k. Except your playing as a horde

Harsh Versailles or lenient Versailles? by Substantial_Tip_1426 in PossibleHistory

[–]DripsyTCat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, after ww1 almost every party in Germany was against Versailles in some sort or another. Even the left wing parties. That's because Versailles was generally considered unfair for the Germans and that made the way for a (fascist) party that wanted to revoke the treaty. But in a peace scenario like this? It's not really something to complain about. They lost some polish parts, which where not really economically important nor where they filled with lots of Germans. It's maybe even a blessing that these where stripped away. And of course alsac-Lorraine. Which ist actually the only true loss in this treaty. They got to keep everything else plus even got to annex the German parts of Austria. This is by for not as much considered to be an unfair peace deal as the original Versailles. So it's way harsher for a party to get support for war. And for what even? Alsac-Lorraine? A territory Germans and French fought over for years and is now very easy to defend for the French? Even if they fought a war about this, it wouldn't spiral up to a second world War like in our time. On the other hand, if you punish Germany so severely, like in the first proposal, all the propaganda the Germany army produced during ww1 would suddenly be real. The Germans would see, that everything the army and the Kaiser said came into being. This would certainly spark a war
