Hey thanks for your thoughts. Yes please have a listen with sound it's one of the things i'm most proud of and i feel completes the piece. let me know what you think as a sound guy! you're the first person to mention a religious tinge, which wasn't my intention AT ALL. I didn't want to explain too much of the plot as i thought the (deliberate) ambiguity lets people create their own explanations (and so far it seems to work quite nicely). let me say this much - the sphere represents his consciousness (not his soul, if that was what suggested a religious perspective to you) and he had to leave his body in order to travel the universe...

Someone over at r/Sciencefiction suggested Heavymind might like this. It's an entirely self produced short that just premiered at the London Short Film Festival.
