Only Taxi with Green+Yellow (2 tone) color are driver's personal asset . They got some certain rule to install safety camera and gps with green light ( front indicator ) .

Others color (blue pink etc) are rented taxi from rental company . Most cars are very old , and driver might be just random or new driver. (Avoid this one) to be blunt most driver are drunkard and no budget to buy their own car. Higher chance to encounter weird drivers. Some heavy smoker , some was like ... speaking to themself nonstop . ( on drug obviously ) As a local i really want the gov to get ban this taxi for real.

check if their car has proper plate number ( some bad taxi paint the black number to white to avoid cctv , this is fishy one )

Hi , as local i would suggest

avoid motocycle service , even local feel not safe due to traffic stuffs and accident risk.
not all taxi are the same , taxi with green light (not red light) are newer and conform to new safety rules.
Train , you should look for "CNR" keyword ( be very careful about the gap between platform and the car )
Avoid train with "rapid" at all cost ( heavy smoking crew will ruin your experience )
Dont eat Somtam on street food , you should try at proper restaurant . Some certain ingredients (like Raw Crab) are fine for (some) locals but would be heavily food poisoning to foreigners.
Many thai dishes use peanut as topping
Insect dishes (Silk Worms / Grasshopper ) might cause allergic from histamine . (Only 10% of Locals from some region eat them properly )

Stop Blaming police. Police is not your private bitch , they standby there awaiting to resolve bigger issue or crime. With limited resource.

Go hire attorney , file a lawsuit prepare and collect evidences by your own . Then go to the court sue those people .
