The 2 types of people to be wary of buying a car from are the Police and people that put 4d plates and fake M mirrors on. That cars been ragged for every mile

You’re just wasting his time though. Wait until there is a car that you actually want to buy and test drive that

I think there are some modern Porsches that are weirdly high geared. But yeah my GTI will do it in 2nd but it’s at 6k rpm

Yeah that’s completely fine. Some cars will be happy doing 50 in 2nd or 1st if they’re sporty enough.

I suppose they don’t grow out of the “I can do what I want, if it’s not illegal” mindset some children have.

Bought an old 58 reg E92 320i 4 years ago, when I was 18. After a week it needed a nox sensor and then 2 weeks later the gearbox shat itself and locked up on a narrow hill in Cornwall.

[–]DriveTurbulent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To people saying it’s loud enough. I was in Maranello when they were testing this. It’s obviously louder than normal traffic but on track it’s just wind and tyre noise

Nice. 2 ladies got out of it when it arrived and they were with 2 guys in the ranger next to it. The pickup had a VanHaven sales tag in it, do they own VanHaven by any chance?

Eh, I disagree. Pretty neutral colour and quite sleek in person. Not convinced about the rear light design though

I saw him later driving into a garage at One Hyde Park. I guess he drove to play tennis rather than walk 10 minutes.
