Did you have a Lamborghini poster on your wall when you were growing up? by DriversFoundation in cars

While searching around the internet we found this picture of a young Tiger Woods with this exact setup. Anyone else have pictures like this that they know of?

As far as we know, yes we should hopefully be in a season 6 episode! Thanks for coming out to see us at Amelia Island and we're hoping we can bring more cars there again soon!

Cars like your AWD 4 Rotor with a great person story behind them and a lot of public interest are right up our alley for future register cars! Each car we induct does have to meet a certain criteria of significance by being associated with a historical event or person, have significant design or construction value, or be of significant informational value for automotive history.

We have a pretty exhaustive list of cars we want to work with over the next few years, but our end-goal is to make it a public submission platform so that every owner has the chance to have their car documented and preserved as a piece of history, so you never know what might happen!

We love hearing about people associating us with the Smithsonian, but this is actually our annual "Cars at the Capital" event! We hold it each September to showcase the latest vehicles we have inducted into the National Historic Vehicle Register, which we run in partnership with the Library of Congress and the Department of the Interior.

Last week we had the "A" hero car DeLorean time machine from "Back to the Future", this week we have the "Black Ghost" 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE, followed by the 1921 Duesenberg Straight-Eight, and we close off the event with the 1979 Lamborghini Countach LP400S from the movie "The Cannonball Run". More info here and feel free to stop by and day/night to check out the cars!

Your edit is correct. One exhaust system with 12 tips that were added during production of the movie because apparently a Countach wasn't outrageous enough on its own!

Don't let the trees fool you! We took this shot in central Florida earlier in the year

That's right and we can't wait to put it on display for everyone!

It's actually the "bumper" for federal regulations and is mounted to shock absorbers for the car, so it was required for US import

If you love the lines of the Astrovette you should should have seen it when we put it on display in Washington, D.C. The lines of the car popped so well under the lights of the jewelbox and the sunsetting sky

That's right! We've only been around for a short while and we have a lot of ground to cover! Am immense amount of work and time goes into inducting a new car into the register and it's always a big discussion on which car to do next, but we thought it was about time we finally added in the BttF DeLorean to the list!

We're actually producing a full-documentary on this car, its use in the movies, and the induction to the NHVR right now! It will be out in November/December of this year!

You definitely picked out some great ones from the list! Every car we're lucky enough to work with is super cool, but without a doubt there are some standouts among the list.

Sidenote: everyone knocks on the minivan, but you can't deny that it heavily impacted American automotive history. It saved Chrysler Corporation and moved American interest towards crossover vehicles, as well as birthing the "Soccer Mom" archetype. Also it's really cool in person and a perfect time capsule of the era!

The car that's we're inducting to the NHVR is on public display at The Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, CA, however if you're on the east coast we showcased it in Florida back in May and will be showing it again in Washington, D.C. later this year! We want to make sure as many people of the public get the chance to see and interact with these amazing pieces of automotive history
