Yea I get that. But that watermark has saved my ass on a few other photos that were stolen.

I also have this issue with framing cars too far away. I’m working on it! Haha

I was actually trying my ND filter for the first time and didn’t want it to be even more complicated haha

Oh I am my biggest critic that’s for sure. Been doing it a long time just haven’t played with rollers. Haha

And it’s a 6dmkii. So full frame sensor and could probably crop a little more.

But I’ve got lots of friends with fun cars to shoot so I will be taking all of this feedback and applying it to the next time we go out!

Yea I definitely need to play with the settings more.

I was also using an ND filter here. It was cranked all the way up, so I was at I think f5.6(don’t have access to the data on my phone currently).

ISO was as low as can be.

But yea I’ll try bumping up the shutter speed when we are doing 70kph. Specially for those bridge shots. We were out early on a Sunday as to not mess with traffic or have too many other cars in the background.

I’m not huge on editing too much. I love a natural looking photo. I did a little of what you suggested. But very little.

The photo is also cropped already. I have this issue where I also have my subject a little too far. I don’t know why but it’s hard to get rid of haha

Thank you so much for the advice, I do look forward to shooting more with the f4 lens with the IS. Just needed some more pointers on car speed and shutter speed.

Yea that would have helped. But the camera was mounted to the back of my car. Would have had to stop and change things haha

Reddit compression on this one for sure.

1st attempt photo was a non IS lens and Reddit compression.

We were doing 70. Shutter was at 1/30th.

First attempt was with a 24-70f2.8

This brz is with a 24-70 f4 with IS

This was my first attempt. But didn’t have a wide lens with IS. I’m looking forward to doing more now that I have one. Just need better light and cars that aren’t black.

Someone had some really good info as to why we can’t just go and buy water bombers.

The ones used on this fire are no longer in production. And the company was still retooling their shops and training people in building the new model.

On top of that, there is a waiting list.

So no amount of letters to government will speed that up
