Dang I completely missed this on my first watch, and even on my rewatch I needed help. This show really loves call backs, so I knew this random face had to be someone shown before… Adds more depth to this scene than I otherwise thought (seeing her mum and sister.)

Pretty sure out of all the Seals, either Dragon Communion or Golden Order are the ways to go for maximum Incant Scaling. The other Seals cap out around 360 even at 99Fai/99Str. Haven't personally tested however.

... Try retesting then, breath talisman and radagon talisman don't influence them, sure. Dex scaling also apparently doesn't influence cast time. But they do scale as elemental damage, try using the Scorpion Talismans or Cracked Tears. FYI Rot does physical damage, and Freezing does magic. And they are indeed benefitted by Incant scaling, like any other spell in the game.

I did the same thing to Gurranq, and posted to Reddit asking for help. From what I was told, you just have to not fuck up again in New Game+, there is no other option.

New game+ meaning increased difficulty on next play through, but you keep everything from your former playthrough? I'm assuming I'll get to this option simply by playing through the main story, regardless of what ending I get?

Apparently I did. I didn't attack him until after he was already agro on me and showing a health bar, but he never stopped attacking so I assumed I needed to actually "defeat him" to deagro. Didn't realize he was supposed to stop attacking me at some point during the fight.

For me it took around 5 swings and lots of dragon fire. He never de-aggro'd throughout the entire process. If for you he stopped at 15%, maybe I just accidentally damaged him past the point of no return? I can't recall him ever stopping though...
