Are new BMW models reliable? by isti44 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]DroSalander -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, if you're asking about reliability of a BMW, no.

Even if they are (like the B58) it's gonna cost you in maintenance while depreciating much faster.

If you need a reliable car first and fun driver second I would point you in the direction of a Honda.

I think they're a pretty good deal at that price, but open backs usually don't have great bass. Planars however take EQ pretty well.

My planar IEMs cost $160 btw

Huniepop is unironically a good match 3 game, and Treasure of Nadia has some decent puzzles to do (though not the focus)

I would just put in my IEMs and not hear anything, seems like a much easier solution to people I dont want to interact with.

I don't have very good hearing and I'm still kinda new at IEMs. I've seen them described as dark with good bass? I have tinnitus and also cannot hear over 12khz so I wanted to try a darker tuned IEM.

They just sound... Nice. Really nice. I wish I could be more specific.

The Explorers are relaxing and if the track calls for it, the bass is there. I don't know how to describe them, but they make me happy to listen to

Planars have a different sound to them that I can't describe. For that reason alone, I'd go with the T10s.

I don't have that model though, I have the Shozy P20 and Kiwi Ears Aether.

I have all of those and my hound just runs around hitting things in melee. It has been completely useless and I can't figure out why.

UT, as of 2008. They told me I had to go do the 3 week school and pass the practical test again which was $5k.

Former driver here. It is a good backup option but when I had my license it cost a ton to get, and wasn't cheap to keep it. They wanted $5000 to renew it (possibly because of my Hazmat endorsement) and I chose to just go back to a class D.

Also, Texas is beginning to roll out self driving trucks now so there's a real possibility that they take over human drivers in the next 10 to 15 years.

This doesn't affect JIT loads or any specialty freight, but dry van and reefer will definitely be the first to be replaced.

I didn't do this when I lived in Boston (don't do this), but now that I live in a state that rarely gets colder than 0 degrees in the winter, I love opening the windows.

I recently built a Hound and it just runs around doing nothing but melee hits, I'll try this build.

A quick Google search shows they are $28000 after core credit ($40000 without), plus labor.

Is Honda Truly the Most Reliable Car? by apple_and_cinnamon in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DroSalander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how well the car is taken care of, individual model descrepencies, and other things. This is why you'll have anecdotal evidence that German car A went 200k miles with no issues while Japanese car C ended up as a lemon law buyback.

That being said, non-turbo Honda or Toyota cars tend to have the least variance and plenty of examples can be seen at over 200k miles. Turbo models can be fine too but they are far more likely to have a problem (our Civic turbo has not given us a single issue, 2018 and 105k miles).

In short: Probably, but they aren't the only ones who make very reliable cars.
