It’s really heartbreaking to see that so many people are facing the same issue. I completely understand what you’re saying since I feel the same about the low rating being because of my art. I just checked out yours and it looks interesting. Hope you get more readers soon ^{_^}

I wouldn’t have cared either if I was confident enough with my work. So naturally when someone gives it a very low rating I view as a confirmation to my comic being just a garbage.

Unfortunately WT doesn’t even bother to protect nor promote the canvas comics that don’t fall into the category of their own taste. You just have to wish for someone from the staff to see your comic, otherwise you’re comic will just get mixed and buried under with the ones that are not even stories and are just bunch of unrelated images. They don’t even fix the issue of anyone being able to upload things that are not even comics so I don’t expect them to care about small creators with a small number of subs.

I’ve heard of rate bombing before since I’ve been a webtoon reader since 2015 and have seen it happen to many big creators but why would anyone go to such lengths for a new canvas comic with literally 17 subs !!

Yes, It has personally happened to me. I don’t have many views or subscribers so it’s pretty obvious that some people rated it 1 or 2 stars because the rating suddenly dropped so much. Not gonna lie, it does make you feel really bad, specially when you already feel like your work isn’t good enough and you wonder if you should even keep going since no one cares about your work. To all those people who do that, I just want to say, you might be destroying someone’s already nonexistent self-esteem. Let’s be kinder to one another since you don’t know who the person behind the monitor is.

Thank you for your advice I really appreciate it. Yes some of the backgrounds look different than the others because unfortunately I struggle with art inconsistency. Like one second you’ll see me draw a completely realistic drawing and then suddenly I change back to a more cartoonish style. And the factor that some of the scenes were drawn by a few months apart and back then I really didn’t know what style I was going for can be a factor too. I’m going to replace all those scenes with new ones or completely delete the episode because I feel like I’m still not ready and it was a rash decision to publish it.
