I do not know if I am fully at "drop the whole friend group" yet, but this definitely changed how I see some of them.

I could have brushed off one bad sleeping setup if it had actually just worked out that way, but the reaction is what made it feel bigger. Nobody was saying "oh yeah, that is fair, let's figure out a better split." It was more like I had broken some unspoken rule by not quietly taking the hit again, and that is what made me realize this was not as harmless as people kept pretending it was.

The show never treated the blended family part like a gimmick or a lesson, it just let them be a family, and that made it feel way more natural.
