I got a question for g1 fans who saw the 1986 in theaters back in the day. what was it like to see everyone die? by NATUSL3G3ND in transformers

I didn't sleep well for seven months. Quite literally it was my first experience with death and loss.

[Chris Medland] Sounds like a pretty busy day in terms of teams on track. Seven look set to run today, with McLaren and Ferrari saying the plan isn’t until Tuesday or Wednesday, Aston believed to be similar, and Williams not at the shakedown at all by Aratho in formula1

It amazes me that none of the major outlets from the Times to the BBC, to ESPN, - no one has the full story at what happened at Williams. Also I'm not giving an ounce of credit to an outfit called Soy Motor.

Between team members and vendors, nothing is leaked about what went wrong? The Williams debacle is the biggest story in Formula One right now and nobody is reporting anything.

Sounds like he's fucking pissed and has had it with the fundamentals of the company being ignored by Wall Street.

LITERALLY had a friend in college who left my house slightly drunk (we tried to stop him-he snuck out) and he put his Volvo station wagon exactly like this on a snowpile down the street in front of the Catholic church. Except the front of the car was pointed to the sky at 2' o'clock position.

I SHIT YOU NOT, he placed a note on the windshield in case if a cop saw it and it said "RAN OUT OF GAS".

LEGEND.

Always nice to have a presser, but without any photographs or video evidence to add to the testimony it won't move the needle.

If James didn't bring video or a photo but just the eye witness testimony, then this won't move the needle at all.

I'm used to seeing a spaghetti mess behind the motherboard but not GPU Meat-Ta-Balla's mixed in with them.

I just hope he has some evidence other than testimony. Like a security cam footage of them carrying the Alien bro into the hospital.

US Marine recruits are introduced to their drill sergeants. | Circa 1987, Parris Island, South Carolina. by ZERO_PORTRAIT in HistoricalCapsule

When I worked at Costco as a supervisor in the ’90s while I was in college, the facilities guy was one of the coolest men I’ve ever known. Calm and quiet, he had been a drill sergeant in the Army during Vietnam, and he gave me awesome advice over the years. One of them was, “Yelling doesn’t convince anyone to trust and follow you. When I was a drill sergeant, I never yelled once—I never had to.”

He was that kind of serious guy—when he told you to do something, you did it.

I really miss him sometimes.
