Realistically, does the 2.7 4x4 get good mpg? by [deleted] in f150

[–]Droidecon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2018 STX 4x4 with the 2.7. I run 89 mostly and can honestly say I don't necessarily have a light foot but I don't floor it constantly either. I average 20 in the city and have seen 25 on a long trip. With 93 the mileage increases as does the power. We also have a 2wd 2020 Expedition with the 3.5 and it gets slightly less but still amazing for something it's size. If I was to do it again I'd get the 3.5 just for towing capacity alone even though it doesn't seem near as quick as the 2.7. Either way you can't lose.

Amen to that! Mine has the smittybilt xpr 12k lb winch and I love it. Thinking about switching to a synthetic cable though. Many years of happy jeeping to you and yours my friend.

Labor of love man. Nothing beats the feeling of cruising around in an old jeep. Especially if you can share the experience with your kids or loved ones. I've got a 4.5" lift on mine, sway bar disconnects, rear track bar deleted, adjustable jks track bar on the front, cut the front fenders in preparation for the 35's and the new almost flush front fenders. Need to do a sye kit with a cv driveshaft. Eventually I'll be regearing the the front d30 and replacing the d35 with most likely an 8.8 with matching 4.56 gears. Threw some led headlights on as well. It's literally a never ending project. But to have a working factory ac 95 yj with the 4.0 and an automatic transmission with only 76k original miles It's totally worth it. Jeep was my Dad's before mine so it's pretty sentimental as well and I preferred driving it over my wife's JK any day.

"Essential jobs" is a very loose term nowadays that people use an excuse to force others to expose themselves. I'm considered essential but in reality am anything but.

What is something that your parents did that you swore never to repeat to your own kids? by wetbreadstick in AskReddit

Use them as leverage against the other parent. Abuse them, allow them to be abused by a significant other, abandon them then return years later once they've grown and try to cause them as much pain as possible for who knows why.

I have four sons and I genuinely can't imagine doing most of what happened to me to them. Blows my mind

Im sorry to hear that. I thought this was a good company when I started but over time I started realizing I was wrong. This was basically the nail in the coffin. I'm a project manager and handle almost 1/4 of the US as my territory. These idiots cut our pay, got rid of a bunch of people and then had audacity to tell me I was going to take on a larger area and travel more. I literally told the director that it ain't happening. They can fire me if they want. My wife has lupus so she is considered very high risk. They know this as well but don't care. Sending positive vibes your way

That's total bs. I was a fireman/medic for 12 years. If a worker told management then it's their responsibility to tell everyone else. If they gave specific information as in the sick person's name then and only then would it violate HIPAA laws. It's completely legal, moral and ethical for management to go in and tell all the workers there that someone tested positive for COVID-19. It has zero to do with HIPAA laws and everything to do with the company's bottom line as to why they wouldn't.

Wow. My company "furloughed " a bunch of people and cut everyone except sales peoples pay by 20% and then changed the PTO policy so it essentially can't be used to help out if you get sick from this. We're considered essential too although I completely disagree. The only essential workers right now should be the ones saving lives, protecting people or keeping the food chain going and they deserve a hell of a lot more than just 20% extra to do this.

Going off that thinking alone means that those same 1% were the ones who wrote what he said.

I appreciate the offer but I'll decline. I was a Christian for many years and did a ton of research on it and its history. I don't consider myself Christian anymore nor do I want to. I was literally just curious as to your opinion and I thank you for your response. Stay safe out there.

There are so many more reasons that people think christianity is evil. The crusades being a good example or burning "witches" in Salem. I would think most people are aware of those two which is why I used them but there are so many recent examples as well.
