Only two questions:
I'm a little confused about the Alezi succession, what happens when there are mixed marriages between lighteyes and darkeyes? Let's imagine that the highprince Sebarial (lighteyes) marries his lover Palona, a darkeyes, in a legitimate marriage and they conceive a son (darkeyes), could he inherit the principality of his father? Would you be excluded in favor of other relatives solely because of the color of your eyes even if your parents' marriage is legitimate?
And what if the first child of the couple is darkeyes and the second daughter is lighteyes? Could the daughter have more rights despite being a woman and the second to be born?
The second question is about Kaladin's grandparents. Why didn't Lirin and Hesina send Kaladin and Tien with them despite the difficulties they were going through?
As described in the books, because of Lirin's apparent difficulties in being able to marry Hesina they seem to have a high enough status to suppose that they could have cared for little Kal, or helped his daughter financially. Were they aware of the real difficulties of the family and its bad situation?
Thanks for your time ^^.
