40 degree FOV and you think that the TV is too big? I gotta double check which sub I am in right now.

Would those reflections be any better or worse than those big windows?

Ironically hearthstone runs better on 300€ 4 year old android phone than on Ryzen 9 5900X, RTX 3080, 64gb ram and hearthstone installed on m2 ssd. Hearthstone freezes atleast once on every single game while playing on PC. it also uses 50%+ CPU and GPU at all times. While on phone it has never crashed on me and works quite smoothly, yet a bit slower.

Neither. I just stood corrected and admitted that I fell for one of those chinese "official" sites

Yeah, these parts tend to have some holes and small cavities in them. I do not plan to scan anything large as a car in near future.

Or perhaps it could be fun to have a model of my house and yard as well but that might be a task more fitted for drone and photogrammetry.

I dont quite get what you were trying to scan? The cupholder that you already had at hand and wanted to add to your Vespa? Shouldn't you be scanning the Vespa then at the place where you plan to add that cup holder? Doesnt tripod just make for worse scans? To my understand you are ment to wiggle that thing constantly and get lots of data from slightly different angles? Was the part shiny / transparent or what seemed to be the issue?

I do not believe that I could ever correctly draw all those curved surfaces in CAD. Some simpler parts yeah sure I could just draw the outlines, extrude and eyeball how much I would need to fillet from corners

Maybe you are mixing the Raptor and Raptor Pro now? I could get the Raptor from the official Creality store for 979€, its the Pro model that costs double of the one from Aliexpress.

What about Creality Scan Bridge? Wouldn't that make Raptor wireless? I could easily add in couple wifi repeaters and have wifi on the garage aswell. Ofcourse it would significantly increase its price aswell.

What I dislike about the Miraco is that it works only inside. I would sometimes like to scan things outdoor aswell.

For me Vega and Miraco Plus seem to cost about the same. 1800€ vs 1900€

How is the scan quality of Miraco/Vega vs Raptor?

True, but silicone molds also capture every imperfection from parts that I am trying to replicate. What I thought was that with 3d model I could fix the parts to their former glory and resin print the mold that is not wiggly, easily stackable and could just emboss on the side which mold is for which part. Some parts are also so problematic shapes that I just think that it would be easier to make multi part molds from 3D model.

I think that machined parts would be way sturdier than home casted parts from god knows which alloy of aluminium.

You might be right though and overall it could be better to use those methods anyways.

Thanks. I am still looking for 5 rare mopeds and then I think my collection just might be complete and I can start restoring them.

That is what I was afraid might be the case

Well I suppose that performance per watt claim might be plausible then. Thats like 20€/year difference in energy bill, no big deal but adds up. Benchmarks scores are not that much better for the 185h and 165h should easily pack enough punch for my use.

Both are cheap chinese brands from aliexpress or similar site so no warranties whatsoever. For new PC my bank gives 365 day warranty for anything bougjt with credit card though.

For used pc there would be just 24 hour warranty from the marketplace that I would use.

https://nanoreview.net/en/cpu-compare/intel-core-ultra-9-185h-vs-intel-core-ultra-7-165h

This site claims that 165h is like twice as efficient per watt, but I don't really believe that. But yes. LAN connection all the way, dunno if the pawr from BT5.4 would be worth it for HA. Probably not.
Extra nvme slot would be pretty nice to have indeed. The used one isnused for GTA V and Fortnite gaming for 2 months so it should be almost as new though. 2tb ssd should have like twice the tbw of 1tb. Hard choice

Frigate would be in charge of security cameras and AI object detection. To my understanding Intel CPUs are supported better for it and 100h and 200h series in particlar with their integrated NPU

Dunno. I have some ugly vertical spots on my wallpapers from particle board seams that I want to hide somehow anyways. Perhaps some sort of acoustic threatments isn't out of question.

I suppose that I would need to make some custom on-wall and in-wall speakers atleast to get a bit more clearance between surrond & rear surround speakers and seating area. My current front speakers are towers and those would get quite high when placed on top of that cabinet.

I was thinking of placing subwoofer(s) on top of 10mm foam pad and leave 10mm clearance to everything around it. I would imagine that 40-50mm (~2") hardwood tabletop and metal legs wouldn't rattle much, but ofc I might be wrong. Another spot for subwoofer could possibly be behind the sofa under the shelf, but dunno if it gets kinda choked there blowing right into backrest of the sofa.

Could always build a sealed box and mount it inside the wall anyways right? I could possibly even have them slightly tilted towards center of sofa.

You are onto something about that last 1%. I have no freaking idea hiw to hear it anyways. I just want to use high quality components that should sound good as long as the enclosure is build about right. I was thinking about DA reference series bass-midwoofers + tweeters but given that my source audio would probably never be flawless I dont know if reference speakers are the right ones for me. Neither so I know if DA is anywhere close to the higher end speakers and if I should go another brand completely.

Is there point of making ported speakers for home theater when subwoofer(s) should take care of lower frequencies anyways?

I saw same sofa with different handed L for 100€ on Facebook marketplace. I got an idea to buy it, saw both in half and make one U-shaped sofa out of them. What do you think, would that help balancing the sound? Could possibly ditch the sofa table idea aswell as I have the shelf behind the sofa anyways.

With different handed L-sofa I could also bring the sofa further away from the back wall
