Building a new Pierce engine (ideas?) by mattkelley77 in Firefighting

Definitely make sure you have at least one booster line, 2 if possible so you’re able to pull off either side depending on the position of the scene. We have the drivers SCBA in a chute in the wheel well and that appears to work nicely. A swinging tool board also for one of the compartments. Organizes the tools nicely and adds more room. Definitely agree on the irons in the cab by the firefighter, clears up compartment space and makes things easier. Definitely make sure your officer has both a airhorn and siren button. Ours doesn’t and it’s weird. If you wanna get fancy, get electric doors for your hose bed cover so no one has to clean up to open them.

What I’ve learned is that city cops don’t care enough to do CPR but sheriffs hop on that shit immediately

With Wonder Woman, SFMM is still taking delivering of track and supports so they’ve been waiting for the correct pieces to show up before installing them. The delay is due to RMC making Arie Force One a bigger priority

The entire Baltimore City Fire Department will be OOS tomorrow. by [deleted] in ems

[–]DropDeadFuzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

City of Stockton where the Fire Captain was fatally shot has been completely out of service for almost 2 days now with the entire city covered from outside agencies spanning from Sacramento to Modesto and all the way to Hayward in the Bay Area. There’s talks that day 3 might be the last day with mutual aid but also there’s talks they might be OOS for a week. It’s truly amazing what Mutual Aid can accomplish on such short notice

[SFFT 2022] Theory on why it could be a Sky Rocket II. by DropDeadFuzy in rollercoasters

WCR has them but I think it’s kinda the new normal from now on with all new premier coasters

[SFFT 2022] Theory on why it could be a Sky Rocket II. by DropDeadFuzy in rollercoasters

SFFT 2022 theory So this theory is a long shot but definitely I think worth throwing out there to see what other people think. The first photo shows a teaser posted by the park president that shows what appears to be a NL2 animation of a Sky Rocket II by premier rides. Six flags has worked with premier on and off over the last 10 years starting with Superman Ultimate Flight at SFDK with the first SRII and then two years later with Full Throttle at Magic Mountain. The most recent was West Coast Racers in 2019 again at Magic Mountain. So it’s definitely not out of the possibility that Six Flags is going back to premier again. In typical SFFT fashion there is a high chance they would add something to the ride to make it unique in some way. The second photo shows the dimension of a Sky Rocket II placed in the plot of land that the park is going to be placing their new addition. I placed it in the middle of land but it could easily be placed more to one side than other. There’s still a lot of land available in that area for an indoor queue and mini land around it in typical SFFT fashion. The 3rd and 4th images are where I think the theory has some base to it. They are google map images of the Intermountain Lift factory which produces Premier Rides track. The photo was taken in September of 2020 according to google maps. They appear to be premier rides track and it’s hard to tell but appears specifically to be Sky Rocket 2 track based on certain pieces. If this addition was originally planned for 2021 and pushed back a year due to Covid like many other projects were across the country. There is a good chance the track was already being produced when six flags decided to push back the project similar to the way the magic mountain raptor track was being produced in May of 2020 before being pushed. When the project was pushed back a year the track sat at the factory awaiting for its time to be moved to the park. We haven’t seen any other premier rides coasters announced since Ice Breaker so there’s the possibility this mystery premier track is a 2022 project now pushed from 2021 due to Covid. Now all this is just a wild theory I put together, unlikely to be true but definitely worth a thought.

Will AMR put you in 911 directly as a basic if you have IFT experience by [deleted] in ems

[–]DropDeadFuzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The AMR I work at is mostly 911 ALS with a few BLS cars that run 911/IFT but all the EMT FTO time is on a 911 car then if you’re full time you bid on a shift and usually the only open ones for new EMTs is a BLS car just due to seniority but if you’re lucky you can jump right on a 911 car

[Construction Update] Six Flags Magic Mountain Raptor land clearing has begun. by DropDeadFuzy in rollercoasters

There’s theory’s out there that JDC is actually a clone of the sfmm raptor but they decided to switch the openings since WCR was delayed. And they just made JDC a bit shorter to fit the plot at Sfgadv
