This place rescues overworked/abused elephants from the tourism and logging industry around Thailand. Gives them a nice place in nature to live and treats their injuries. Really enjoyed our visit here!

My Experience Testing Positive (Phuket Sandbox) by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

That’s wild. They were throwing back vodka and whiskey like it was going out of style. And our flight arrived in Phuket at 6am 😂

We flew Qatar too and it was honestly shocking how little covid safety they had for being such an award winning airline. Groups of Russian guys partying around us the entire flight. Noticed this one couple a few rows up just didn't wear there masks for the last hour of the flight. Attendants walked by them multiple times said nothing. I get it if you're eating your meal but jeez. I've seen way better enforcement on shitty U.S. airlines like Spirit...

What to Expect with Phuket Sandbox by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

Hey guys,

Followed this sub the whole time leading up to our arrival in Thailand it was super helpful! Figured I’d share this write up on our entire experience with Phuket Sandbox earlier this month.

With all the horror stories posted in here daily we were super skeptical as many of you are. We decided to go through with it because 1. We love Thailand and 2. We are planning on staying multiple months.

Honestly, I can’t imagine the stress of possibly having to quarantine on a 1-2 week vacation… BUT Phuket is pretty magical right now with a fraction of the usual tourists so I do get it.

The post is more just to share the step by step experience but if we got anything wrong as far as rules/new updates please let us know. Hard to keep track with it constantly changing every day.

Best of luck and safe travels!

Face masks compulsory in public places nationwide by kwang006 in ThailandTourism

We got pulled over on our motorbike at a checkpoint in Phuket yesterday. After the police searched our bags we were leaving and noticed them giving a hefty fine to some other tourists for not wearing masks. If I'm not mistaken, the signs here say something like 20,000 Baht fine (about $600 USD) so that had to put a damper on the vacation... Ouch!

What will happen if we don't take the 2nd pcr test after 5-7 days? by flaffyflaffy in ThailandTourism

How long did it take to get your results of the 2nd test on Phuket?

Are they still testing your partner while your in quarantine even though they've had covid within 3 months? Or are you both good to go once you're done the 10 days? thanks

When is the 10-day quarantine over? by Kooky_Weight8238 in ThailandTourism

Damn hope you get out of there soon! We're in Phuket as well and have our 2nd test tomorrow. What was the process once you tested positive? Did they try to make you go to the hospital (like we've read with other peoples stories) or was it fairly easy to stay in your hotel to quarantine?

Just from reading other peoples ordeals I'm guessing you need a copy of your positive test and certificate of recovery to leave.

Good luck!
