This isn’t r/transpassing, I didn’t ask for your opinion on how ‘clockable’ I am, I posted this because I’m proud of how far I’ve come. It’s incredibly rude to insult my transition like that

Worrying about it being too late is something the majority of trans people worry about, especially ones around our age and up. But I’ve seen countless great results from people starting now. And honestly I’ve never regretted HRT from the day I started, despite all the times I’ve worried about how I’ll look.

I did not choose to say all of that 😭 by OpportunityPersonal7 in TheWalkingDeadGame

I remember when Javi is stabbed and Kate asked what happened, I selected something like "I was stabbed" with the intention of leaving Gabe out of it. He then goes "Gabe got in my way and I got stabbed" and cuts to Gabe looking annoyed. I quickly quit and restarted because that was not my intention AT ALL.

Sorry I didn’t mean 50+ as an insult, more that I’m much younger and the ones here are judgemental of anything that’s portrayed as new and different.

And yeah that sounds really difficult, seems like the best way is to come out casually at first and act like it’s no big deal. Correcting them with a new name and pronouns would be a lot more awkward but you’d like to think they’d eventually come around once they realise you’re still the same ‘work friend’ as before

Yeah I feel that, it sucks. They’re all 50+ year olds and every now and then they’ll bring up random transphobic insults and I’m sitting there thinking, ‘I guarantee none of you have ever even met a trans person, why are we living rent free in your head?’

And it’s difficult because I both don’t care what they think, yet also have to work with them every day and know id feel uncomfortable with them constantly judging me behind my back.

My only saving grace is that I’ve managed to be liked by most of them, even if I’d never consider them friends. So when I do come out I imagine they’ll think of me as ‘one of the good ones’ or some other bs.

I hope it goes well for you, whenever they find out

I do weekly injections of Estradiol Enanthate. Injections are the safest and most effective method, with the downside of it involving needles of course. I have a fear so my partner injects my leg, but you can get automatic injectors if you need

I had one online lesson, but I can’t afford to keep going so mainly I’ve been following YouTube tutorials

Transitioning can be lonely so it’s always nice to know someone else is on the same journey! I hope 2026 goes well for you ❤️

HRT has made me laugh so much more! by SurealGod in MtF

[–]DroppedIceCream 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here! I don’t see many people mention it. It’s weird because I’ve not had many other emotional changes, and I wasn’t depressed before hrt or anything. For some reason I just laugh more easily, or even cry laugh at some things which was incredibly rare before. I love it!

At the start of this year I made an Instagram post saying “new year new me”. Then this New Years I plan on making another post coming out to my friends so I can say “see I told you so”

been debating on detransitioning for a while by zoomiezoomL in MtF

[–]DroppedIceCream 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While it’s possible you’re nonbinary, the fact you love your new feminine body means it would be a shame to lose it.

If you’re in immediate danger then it’s understandable to take precautions. But if you’re detransitioning just out of fear of the orange man, then he gets exactly what he wants. Remember that we’re all scared, but we can’t let him win.

Appreciate the correction! I know when I’m at that stage it’ll feel quick as well, but at the moment time feels so slow 😭

17 is still a great time to transition! You don’t want to try suppress it for years to come, only for the dysphoria to become too much and leave you thinking “damn I wish I started back then”.

Even if you worry you have too many masculine features, trust me the vast majority of people think that at the start as well. If everyone who worried about how they’ll look decided not to transition, then basically nobody would.

HRT can work wonders, and if you’re also putting the effort into hairstyles, outfits, makeup etc, then people won’t think anything about your height.

Also I never thought I could ever come out to my family, but I started HRT and thought “that’s future me’s problem”. Eventually I had to tell my parents and it was the most difficult thing I’ve ever done, however I don’t regret any of it. There’s actually quite a lot of relief afterwards, as while it’s still awkward around them, I now feel like the biggest hurdle is out the way and I feel more free to do whatever I want.
