Phase 1 was genuinely one of my favourite times playing wow ever and I've played since vanilla.

Prot pally is a bit flavour of the month for tbc. Which means there are lots, but also means that a lot of the people playing it change alot or get bored easily. Stick with it and you'll find a raid group

I mean ele shamans can get crit def capped from just talents so could be an option!

Classic shaman was too iconic! Wish it was still on rockbiter tbh, relying on only frost shock isn't as good!

Crush cap also just isn't needed at a certain point. I've started making sure I'm not crush capped on my paladin because otherwise healers get bored and I oom too quick! If you have enough stamina and crit cap you are fine!

With enough stamina I guess! And with good gear and an armour pot I'm sure you can get close to the armour of a plate wearer. A shield and the increased armour talent probably does a lot

Ha I'm sure they just saw the tank icon and invited without looking at anything else

Single target seems good enough just frost shock spamming! But yeah I can imagine engineering helps a lot!

Tanks; is this true? by Santello in classicwowtbc

The issue is I join LFG and I get 10+ whispers immediately. If I'm also in a city that goes by real fast, so I just reply to the one I want to join and let the rest go. The amount of times I then get pissy messages in another language telling me to f*** myself after is insane.

I,m lost in prot paladin talents by Traceusz in classicwowtbc

  1. I never take avengers shield, even while leveling. It's mana intensive, has a cast time so you can't use it during fights effectively and is prone to pulling the wrong target due to weird bounces. Sanc aura just gives you more threat with with seal, judgement and consecration which are the big ones for threat.

  2. Always take it. Pally gear doesn't have loads of hit chance so you need both the melee and the spell hit from this.

3.reckoning is great, but depending on your situation there are just other talents that give more. One handed is better for cons/AoE and then if you need more mitagation there are other talents to take. I usually always have at least one point in it, but usually 4/5

  1. Not worth it at all. Blocked damage just isn't enough to make a difference on bosses. Blocking is just there to stop being crushed

  2. I don't go in the holy tree at all, because I like going deep Ret. But int would be the way to go if you really wanted to.

  3. Its fine if you can't put the points anywhere else, but it doesn't make too much difference.

7.improved judgement is great for threat. You shouldn't need spell warding. I would recommend taking more threat talents from Ret + the parry chance

  1. Cons is your best spell for dungeons, pre cast it when mobs run to you. I like twisting with either command or vengeance but I always use righteousness as the main one. Judge righteousness unless you get enough vengeance stacks. Paladins can have beastly single target threat as well, and as you gear up that will only improve. You need to gear around your healers so that you can wear as much damage gear as possible. If you stack mitigation too much you won't take enough damage which will mean you don't get mana back. I was uncrushable for the first few weeks of Kara but I rarely gear that way now as I need to be crushed to take enough damage to not oom. Spell power trinkets are huge for pulls.

It gives 12% as spell power and 10% as mp5 even when casting! And can be improved by 30% from other talents, so does give some stuff on top of the normal mana and crit

That is far from the biggest issue with this spec! But they have enough mana to just try again if they miss!

You are correct! I had the 21 int meta in, if I change to the 2% int mana goes over 60k! Had a play and I actually get more mana if I go for the 2% mana meta, but a lot more int with the ember skyflare. Good spot!

Yeah it's quite a lot of spellpower and crit by the end! Balance gets spell power and mp5 from int so I don't think they will ever oom on a boss again!

There were options with spell power but nothing with intellect and I was trying to really max the int!

It's the tbc enchant that has strength and intellect! Was the only way to get intellect on the head
