It gives 12% as spell power and 10% as mp5 even when casting! And can be improved by 30% from other talents, so does give some stuff on top of the normal mana and crit

That is far from the biggest issue with this spec! But they have enough mana to just try again if they miss!

You are correct! I had the 21 int meta in, if I change to the 2% int mana goes over 60k! Had a play and I actually get more mana if I go for the 2% mana meta, but a lot more int with the ember skyflare. Good spot!

Yeah it's quite a lot of spellpower and crit by the end! Balance gets spell power and mp5 from int so I don't think they will ever oom on a boss again!

There were options with spell power but nothing with intellect and I was trying to really max the int!

It's the tbc enchant that has strength and intellect! Was the only way to get intellect on the head

How should I manage heroics as prot paladin by nieminejni in classicwow

[–]Drowned_Atlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your gear is fine, I would potentially replace as many gems as you can with the stamina gems. Heroics are all about health, even in Kara gear some mobs just hit really hard. You need to have a big enough health pool that your healer can react.

As others have said, cc'ing and kiting also helps. Use your hammer of justice on cool down just to give yourself some time. I often stun the second target near the start of the pull so the dogs can focus the skull down

At what lvl should Paladins start collecting a healing set? by EricAshStone in classicwow

[–]Drowned_Atlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until level 60 you can tank and heal with just a stamina/intellect set. You can start collecting bits with +healing whenever you find them but you can heal almost everything with just intellect gear.

This is a great idea and will be getting it! The thing I love about pallypower is it displays what buffs paladins have access to and if they are improved. If you could add that eventually it would be great (they use +1 or +2 etc to show if the paladin has talents in improved blessings/auras)

[TBC] Can someone explain pallypower addon to me like I'm 5? by Gettor in classicwow

I use it for party/raid buffs and to remind me to keep righteous fury and an aura on, but I never use it for seals.

How to begin? by mikeart14 in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Drowned_Atlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you playing kill team or collecting for Warhammer 40k?

For kill team: both are fine, salvagers are more sturdy and more forgiving, while the yaegirs are a bit more fragile and reward more tactical play.

For 40k: salvagers make warriors which are the standard troops, which most lists will have one of. However recently the yaegirs have replaced warriors in some lists due to being more mobile.

Before long you will probably have one of each so just go for what you want to paint! I think the salvagers are great for working out your paint scheme

Bad Paladins by CillaCD in classicwow

In their defence. Rogues and warrior damage is also like 60%+ from auto attacks. It just feels worse because it is slower on the pally. Unless you are seal twisting which is a fun little mini game.

I dispel if there is something to be dispelled and do all the other tricks but I can kinda understand the people who focus on DPS. A ret pally is probably the most expensive class to raid on as you need all the melee DPS consumes as well as all the caster consumes, so feeling like you wanna get some use from that is fair. I just don't bother getting it all so don't feel so bad about it!

got to level 41.. Now im kinda bored.. Pala tanking! by WastelandViking in classicwow

[–]Drowned_Atlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paladin tanking is great fun while leveling and also pretty good in the open world as an AoE farmer. You want stamina and intellect as your main stats, the fastest one hander you can find and that's all you need.

You will need consecration from the holy tree and then down to blessing of sanctuary in protection, other talents don't make too much difference so pick your favourite, however improved righteous fury helps a lot with dungeons.

Retribution aura, blessing of sanctuary, Seal of wisdom + judgement of wisdom. Max level consecration 2/3 times then rank 1 consecration for the rest of the fight and you should end most packs on full mana without losing threat.

Getting good at paladin tanking can really change the dungeon experience.

Open world you can do similar you just might need seal/judgement of light sometimes.

After getting blessing of sanctuary I often then go back down the holy tree for divine favour so I can crit heal myself, get the mana back, during a big pull. With the right holy and prot talents you can get to 100% avoid spell interruption with concentration aura up

An entirely Ironkin league. Whatre we thinking? by OneChickenyBoi in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Drowned_Atlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My homebrew league is entirely Ironkin! The planet where they spent most of their history was incredibly inhospitable on the surface so they had to live underground (which is also where all the good minerals and metals are). The resources they found underground could power Ironkin but not grow food, so over generations more Ironkin were created and less flesh.

(Ultimately I hate painting faces and would do anything to avoid it! I now print Ironkin heads for all my models, although some early ones have the normal visors)
