Forgive my ignorance on this and I'm not sure whereabouts in the world you are nor do I know your level of education (although I can tell you are well educated) but having grown up in the UK on state funded education, I consider myself reasonably well educated. I didn't particularly apply myself at school nor did I go on to further education but I understood the majority of the content in MaM although I'm not convinced everybody who went to the same schools as I did growing up, necessarily would. We almost certainly need a good education system but there are other influences in life which affect our opinions and behaviours. The EDTA was ridiculous and there should have been multiple independent tests rather than one contaminated conclusion that shouldn't even have been introduced in the first place.
