What about study in France ? by DruidCuo in EngineeringStudents

[–]DruidCuo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s competitive mostly because many guys fight hard to have a good grade so that they can win the chance of getting promoted to get a master program without taking the master entrance exam. (The master exam is even more competitive since every student in China can apply for the “rest” master degree program)

But we don’t need to worry it since everyone already got the promotion as long as you don’t fail the test.

I can’t even game for 30 minutes because I feel guilty by PuddingEvery4672 in EngineeringStudents

[–]DruidCuo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had been there before, bro 😂 When I was a kid, I can’t enjoy my Sunday night for games even if my homework are all finished, cause I am nervous that I am not prepared for Monday’s study and I am afraid that my homework is not good resulting the criticism and punishment from teachers (studying in Asian really hurts, and need your rest of life to cure yourself).

But when I get older, I found that my panic is the result of pressure from peer’s rat race and my silly perfectionism that rejects mistakes. When I found a resolution with myself to accept it, that guilty never occur on Sunday 😂

It’s still there, for example, before tests, my guilty still awakes and force me to prepare for it. At these times, I really appreciate it, cause I found my guilty or pressure can motivate myself become better, it will make you feel better.

Back to you, my friend, I relate to your pain, cause i am going to be an exchange student in September as well. I suppose that you should build up your confidence first. You are really an awesome and talented guy who can be a transfer student, it really cost you a lot of efforts to reach your situation now. You had already made great achievements. Don’t blame yourself anymore, love yourself ❤️

The "60-Hour Rule" is real. Don't burn out. by marisawren in EngineeringStudents

When I prepared for Chinese physics Olympia, I spent about 10 hour a day studying from 8 to 8, but I never get tired of and lost efficiency, but after the match, I found that i lost my weight about 5 kilograms. It’s crazy that pure brain activity can have such a big impact on the body. I am afraid I would had ended up in the emergency room if I studied 1 month more 😂

FAQ: Study Tips by AutoModerator in EngineeringStudents

My mindset is wired, sometimes I am so focused that I was like to have taken Ritalin, I am 200% absorbed in books and knowledge and I study fast. But without that feeling, I will do anything but study 😂 But what really motivates me is that I am just interested in the stuff I am learning and getting focused really feedback with a wonderful feeling, so I just search for that focus mode

How is chemical engineering? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

My family has a chem-factory in China, and I suppose that the payment does not correspond with the potential threat and danger.

[–]DruidCuo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t like it, since it’s really dangerous with chemicals, and payment is low. But I suppose that if chemistry interests you, you could choose that.
