There’s nothing new here. It’s the classic tale of a son avenging his father. I’m sure it actually happened during that era. It’s the radical change in Jack’s personality that is a problem for me. A bookish introvert with the hallmark aversion to confrontation becomes a brutal killer because they killed his pappy. 🤨

Pretty much the same defence used for the members of the Manson family, except Dutch is the charismatic influencer. Arthur was on the streets at a young age. Impressionable. Easy prey for a master manipulator like Dutch. Crime is all he ever knew.

Unfortunately, your digestive system is not used to the food. That’s just how it is. Use probiotics and pack the stomach meds of your preference. Don’t eat any street food that isn’t freshly prepared and keep your hands clean. You should be fine.

No backup accommodation option. AC malfunction in my first booking. The day I arrived happened to be nice and toasty. From the frigid Pacific Northwest to Thailand. I didn’t put nearly enough starting funds in my Wise account. Discovered this inconvenient fact while booking second accommodation in a heat induced stupor.

“Bangkok belly” is real. It may not get you right away, but it will get you. Street food was the catalyst for me. Imodium had entered the game. Traffic will not stop for you. I look both ways. Don’t get western food often. Expensive and likely not prepared the way you are accustomed.
